geoffreywh
A bit too old? There's plenty of older blokes around. I share a hangar with an 85 year old! I'm nearly 68 and had my pilot's cert. for 4 years now! Don't write yourself off....

dazza 38
Actually there is a age that is to old. What age that is, depends on the individual. It is well after 58 though Frank . Humans get to that stage where learning becomes a major hurdle, im thinking late seventies or early eighties. It really depends on the person.I say this because I have seen really keen people wait until late sixties & older to start & live their dream.Unfortunately they have struggled & in most cases given up. Life is to short.Get stuck in now & learn to fly.
cscotthendry
Frank: i didn't get my wings until I was 58. I'm 61 now and only just got my first real airplane. They'll have to prise it "from my cold dead hands" with apologies to Charlton heston. i can tell you from experience, the bug doesn't go away if you ignore it. rgmwa
What, too old at 58? I was 58 when I had my first lesson. Four years down the track and the plane that I've been building for the last couple of years will be ready to fly in a month or two. The only complaint I've got is how damned expensive that first lesson was! rgmwa
