AEROCHUTE AT PHILLIP ISLAND RACE CIRCUIT 26.01.14

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know who was the dill in the Aerochute that tracked down the straight at Phillip Island at approx. 150 ft (well below the top of the communication tower that is just west of the straight) while the bike races were on mid-morning on Jan 26th.

Mainly white chute with red panels on each end and a dark colour between the red and white on both ends.

He/she tracked in from the north, made a "run" down the straight (actually more like an enebriated "wander" down the straight) then made a pretty rough U-turn over the camping area then departed to the north.

This idiot wasn't much of a pilot as they we up and down/side to side and all over the shop ....... but low.

Or are aerochutes permitted to be below 500 ft while being a poser to a crowd?

Thanks Mike.

I doubt that it was Lindsay Fox flying over his race circuit, so whoever the pilot was, he/she was definitely not landing or taking-off, certainly below 300 ft, a dickhead ................. or unlicensed, or both.

Regards Geoff

He may be one of the two that got a fright flying into cloud near my place. The videos they've been posting don't give you much confidence in them.

No deaths in 27 years and many hundreds made ,fix wings are killing people all the time.

I don't think anyone has criticised the design, or even that particular aircraft.

It is the actions of the pilot that are at issue,
