Luskintyre Incident

Recommended Posts

Pair is a singular noun - hence :-

"Please be careful where you step, a pair of glasses has been lost."

Same goes for phrases like "a family" or "a class" -- they are each a singular entity made up of multiple people.

This Chippy has a Lycoming IO-360 fitted to it. It was also on a "test" flight apparently. Stinker of a day, i plotted the Density height at around 4400ft.

The pair – aged 30 and 39 - is being flown to John Hunter Hospital.

She got so much right and we are picking it apart over a two letter word, this forum is becoming so precious lately, I don't know how some of you survive in this imperfect world.

Both is, and are, can be present tense.

But as the lass didn't go to school when some of old farts did, we'll make allowances that despite are, being more accurate as two were currently being conveyed, she has to be congratulated for probably the most concise report i've read in a while.

At least it wasn't another Cessna, or ultralight.

She should get a job with ninemsn, the daily news would be far more readable and accurate.

Haven't seen any pics of the Chippy, hope it's repairable, and the POB are ok.
