Russ
i know that craft, built by "tom"......reeel old chap, nice guy, he flew everywhere in it, sold to another chap, he did the camo paint job, then sold to you. That machine just goes and goes. Some mths back you were chasing info re "opal", hope all's good. ( query.........avgas at MKT ???? ) passing through early 2016. Savannahflyer
Hi Xavier how's the nav ticket going? How is the flying in Darwin is it always bumpy? I have been meaning to rent an aircraft from the top end flying club & have a look around the area for years but have never got around to it. Xavier
The Nav is done and now it's all about having fun around the Top End coat line. Early morning flights are great and with the start of the build up the South Easterly wind is almost gone. You can rent a Technam or a J230 at the club, just come around. rankamateur
It was one of the first six kits Tom imported into Australia, but I think it was the second one flying. The adventurer Alby Mangles was first flying. His plane is also still flying.

eightyknots
Was this one painted in "nipple pink" paint prior to the camo touch up? I remember that Savannah. It really stuck out.
rankamateur
I remember that Savannah. It really stuck out. I hung around with Tom at airshows and fly-ins for three or four years on his stands and I was only EXPOSED to it once, at Monto.
