Spent a very enjoyable 2 month's temp duty in Dalby almost 50 years ago and was made thoroughly welcome. Unfortunately, distance precludes my attendance but if I could, I would. All the very best wishes for good weather and max participation for your first event. cheers

I will be heading to Jimbour provided the weather is ok. Taking the wife and she does not do turbulence well so lets hope its not too hot (or the sky is blue enough to climb above it)!!

I will be flying a 172 (VH-RAQ) since my favorite 182 was already booked :(

Jimbour House Breakfast Picnic today was an outstanding success with 28 aircraft arriving to enjoy a picture perfect day.

Some locals and pilots drove in, as well as some couples flew in with period costume to take advantage of the yesteryear atmosphere.

Over 60 people attended with many thanks to all that flew in and represented the aviation community to support this nostalgic and historic property that has a huge aviation history.

We all look forward to the next event at this great Flyin venue.

Here are some highlight of the day.

Thanks for organising it Graham, our mob thoroughly enjoyed it.

Was a bit hectic at Redcliffe, certainly tested my crosswind limits today, but enjoyable none the less! (Even the boss had fun for most of it!)

A great day was had by all who attended Jimbour House Flyin Picnic today.

A good range of aircraft (15) arrived to enjoy brunch in the courtyard especially set up for us all by Jake (Station Manager) and his partner Candice who enjoyed a local scenic flight of this grand property.

Everyone enjoyed the large array of food and soaked up the ambiance of this great Flyin venue.

Weather was good with blue skies and crispy cool air upon arrival at 9am, which warmed up to a very comfortable temperature by the time everyone arrived.

A big Thank you to Tanya ( Events Manager) and her team for inviting the aviation community to Flyin and utilities this grand venue.

There Is a upcoming event called The Long Lunch planned for August/September which all flyers are invited to and will be posted when a final date is confirmed by Tanya.

There is to be a new windsock installed in the coming weeks to keep the airfield in top operational condition.

As usual the photos say it all.

Again thanks to everyone for attending, see you at the next event at Jimbour House.

Sorry we missed it. Lovely clear skies today, would have been a little chilly in the Drifter though.

Good to see someone upholding decent dress standards for high tea.

I'm definitely up for the lunch. It was a smooth flight there, and it was nice to see some old friends and the house is a slice of history that is worth sharing. And it was nice to sit in the sun in the gardens! Thanks for putting it on.

It is a great long tar runway, and easy to find, even if like me you got lost. Just follow the road right past it!
