Yenn
Rotax 912 is the standard engine. I thought they were supposed to be bulletproof. 1
Brett
Sounds like it needs a new oil pressure sender fitted after it gets trailered home.

Downunder
I had to read it twice as to whether the engine stopped or he just put it down because the gauge showed no pressure as well...... A mile or two from the field, I think I would have given the strip a shot if it was still running.....
JEM
Looking at the carpark footage there doesn't appear to be any oil leakage or staining.

Yenn
Rotax may not be a proper engine in some peoples opinion, but they do have a large number of engines flying and are affordable, plus their safety record is not bad. In about 20 years flying at my home strip I can only remember one Rotax engine failure.
