Seeking Foxbat to buy or lease

Recommended Posts

Hi there

A friend and I are in the process of starting up a new flying school in central NSW and are actively seeking ideally a Foxbat A22, or A32 to buy or lease.

We are however open to other aircraft suggestions also.

The appropriate aircraft would need to be RA registered with reasonable hours left on the engine before TBO.

Can anyone help us with this?

Kindest regards

P

They were all put up for auction or sale by Pickles, and the Soar aviation assets sales were held from March 2021. All 56 Soar aircraft were sold by auction or "expressions of interest" (negotiated sales), realising a total of $5.3M.

Pickles, as with all auction houses, will never reveal purchasers identities of auction items they sold. You could only find out from publically-available aircraft owner registration details.

A friend of mine had his Aerprrakt 22 Lc for sale a while ago and i don't think it has sold. He was asking $95000 I think. Contact him at [email protected].

I haven't seen him for some time, but don't know the state of play at the moment.

Those are Vixxens. One of the "mods" was to take off the wheel spats to make them more draggy, as a crude way to stop students from floating all the way down the runway!

True, but like the op posted I find most people avoid refer to the A32 as a Foxbat anyway.

Yeah, they also put in thicker windscreens. And I thought the tyres might have been bigger too. Matches what I was told about making them more draggy to better match speeds on final closer to the warriors, so circuit seperation was maintained

Yeah but the idea was you could be 75kt on final. 65kts over the fence. And still touchdown without floating the whole runway. I'd have to check my notes though. Havent flown it in a while

Bit too fast I reckon. I target 60 on approach (depending on traffic: if there's someone behind me I'll fly it faster then slow down on short final), 50-55 over the fence. At 65 it will still want to float.

POH recommends 54 for a normal approach and 49 for a short field! Haven't been game to really test it's STOL capabilities just yet.
