POH - for JABIRU LSA55?

Hello everyone. I am trying to get a copy of the Pilot Operating Handbook for Jabiru LSA55. The Jabiru website doesn't appear to have it. Does anyone have an online copy? I will happily pay for photocopying/postage if anyone has a hardcopy of it.

Additionally, what are the stall speeds for clean, 1 stage & 2 stage flaps?

Any info is very much appreciated.

Thank you.

I recently flew one after a ten year break. I'd forgotten the fast approach speed (70+kts) and the tiny rudder, which had me over correcting on approach. Nice aircraft, but get altitude before you get the feel of the controls.

Moy71,

Which model are you talking about ?. Ken De Vos's above has pictures of a 160/170. These would not be entirely relevant to to earlier (1990's) versions. I have a 1993 LSA that has a POH if that is more what you are looking for albeit that it started life as a J2 not a J3. ( ie 1600cc not 2200cc ).

He probably doesn't care anymore, the above conversation is seven years old now.

Bill - that's a 160 panel, but an LSA cockpit: master cylinder back behind the stick, LSA doors...

But I need an LSA55 POH for my St1 ( also originally with a 1600 engine).. May I PM you to see it we can arrange something? - Jabiru can only supply a 120 POH, which is bugger-all use to me..

Seventy+ !!!! You must be kidding. The book speed for short final is 57.....and it works. I have re-trained a few pilots with this error. They tend to say things such as "it's so easy!"

It varies so much with your weight and the existing conditions. We shouldn't quote a "speed" tor approach as if it's set in concrete and used at all times. The test is, are you floating excessively and /or landing with weight on the nosewheel ? Do you use some power when needed or make all approaches with an idling engine?. A really slow LSA 55 hasn't a lot of spare control authority, and it sure doesn't like weight on the nosewheel. Nev

One is in our hangar , will copy for you. although I think it is a /2 (smaller fuel tank)

. just remmeber , legal requirement is the PoH for THAT airplane. (IE PoH is serial numbered)

but reality might be different. have other doco- (maninenance and construction manual)
