    Well that is the plan at the moment, head back to Cairns next month and have a go there for work ( while getting back on my feet finically after not working all year) and if that doesn't work do some day/ weekend trips and then around Xmas or just after new year head over. But that will be 2 or so months from when I get back so need to keep busy. Anywhere in particular that you would head HH or just the usuals?

    What do they class as suitable, I know a few guys that have tried with 1500+ piston multi but I assume that they are after turbine? The guys I knew had mostly instructor time

    So I will be finished up soon with CPL MECIR and while looking for work I'll have to keep an amount of currency and have a few ideas on what to do to make it the most productive, thoughts are Command night hours Command IMC Areo rating Barron or the like endorsement 210 time Can't do the lot so what do you guys think would be the most beneficial?

    Only time I don't log is if I've put an AC US either in the run up bay or aborted To, otherwise it's logged. Mind you in the above I'm also not paying for it so I think that might have something to do with it. But we also have an electronic log that we must match

    Hey Pot I replied to your msg a while ago but never seemed to appeared! Looks like allot off fun but I don't think that they would let me near anything like that for a while yet! Ild struggle with 500agl at the moment!!! Doc, although I like you idea the friendly folk in aviation would most probably be a little too happy to have me volunteering I think! From what I hear my first 500 hr will pretty much be that anyways! Bit of an update, things have been pushed back a little and now should be done by mid next month, I'm on the twin now which is allot of fun and have about 20hrs left to go. My instructor has been away so back into it hard from the end of this week. Had the last two weeks off pretty much but will still get 50hrs for the month!!

    The way I work the time is, say its 0400 UTC, on the east coast it would be 1500 3pm so, UTC would be one hour ahead of the local time if it wasn't 24 hr time ie 3pm,simples?

    As above, I have these with over 200 hours on them now and i love them! they get used just about everyday for flights 4+ hours. The bluetooth is awesome for checking AWIS and phoning ops when required and i paid $620 i think so a fair bit of saving over the Zulus, in saying that if i bought again i would get the Zulus only because of the amount that i use them i think it would be worth it

    So do RA flights not have to meet the requirements for flight plans of GA? Or are they saying that above and beyond that another form of flight plan?

    Just had my OZ Runways subcription taken off me so now I've to pay for it myself and am trying o figure out between the two. My hard copies are jepps but I can't seem to figure out what jepp view does for the extra $180 per year that OZ Runways doesn't? Anyone that has used the both opinions please!?
