  3. this is from wikipedia, not sure how accurate it is TP, I'd love to see you data. Archerfield is the biggest GA airport in Se.QLD
  4. why not? australian love big cars, a long range electric vehicle capable of carrying 4 adults will be slightly larger than the size of a landcruiser.
  5. Maybe news just cuts and pastes the story for different papers
  6. just highlight the hot spots. I know of some vacant land near Wellcamp airport, great opportunity to get in on the ground floor

  9. the rotax aviation line started off as a snowmobile engines, there isn't enough volume in aviation sales to develop an engine properly.
  10. the problem with that philosophy is most rotax's are getting very long in the tooth

  16. from the latest RAA mag Australia is full of wide open spaces and is one of the best places in the world to fly. It has great weather and great landscapes. We have a whole heap of class G airspace to explore. And RAAus provides pilots with a low cost, simple and accessible way to take of advantage of these things safely. The reality is that we have been focussed on saving lives. There is a false perception by others in the industry that we are the unsafe cousin of general aviation. The reality is that we growing because of the great work we are doing. The perception is that we have no respect for the rules. The reality is that we recognise our obligations and respect them. The perception is that we have complete disregard for any regulation. RAAus members are our organisation’s best marketing material and it is incumbent on each and every one of us to help change these perceptions. Without for a moment losing sight of the realities. Because no matter what you think of me as an RAAus pilot, I’d rather come home to my wife safely each night. That’s my reality. he's right, the numbers don't lie
  17. TP, those 3 failures are in the context of the 380,000 hours that the RAA pilots fly every year, it's incredible safety record less than 1 incident per 100,000 hours
  18. the rumour was, and its just a rumour because he never filed charges, that his partners stiffed him
  19. There is enough good things written about Larry without my contributions, I think he descent into gold coast entrepreneur has set him up for life. I always think its weird how people of a certain political persuasion love going over to the fake news sources when it compliments their political views, they are happy to sacrifice objectivity and accuracy to further their agenda. Not realising, of course, that the tide flow both ways.
  20. uugghh larry pickering is real piece of work, after ASX blocked his access to trading data so his share trading software folded, and he recoded it to horse racing Larry Pickering who ripped off $15million in a betting software scam claims to be investigating Julia Gillard for the AWU fraud scam. the apple never falls far from the tree: supplying coke to 17 year old girls No Cookies | Gold Coast Bulletin
