    But have we all had enough of bringing RA up to date , it been going on for years and gross inconvience to RA pilots. The next group of executives are they too, going to bring RA up to speed, it's going to be on going.

  4. What are the restrictions for having an experimental reg plane to having a certified reg plane? Can I still fly an experimental in controlled air space?
  5. Laurie, something's are not worth talking about, 8 months and 3 flying days the rest of time it's been at brumby in Cowra. Fathers plane has come to a holt and I think he just prefers to ride the bike.

      Pretty good thanks Steve. Not much flying lately. nearly 2 weeks now due to poor weather and work. Looking forward to venturing up your way when the weather improves and have some leave. How's your Brumby going?

  9. Have you been to the factory recently , I think their busy enough, I am sure delivery times will improve now that the RAndD is basically finished.

  11. No time to play with all the toys and some get a greater priority than others The VH is a OHV and the old VB is a side valve like the M20
  12. I bought at VB Ariel 600cc single in 1970 and still have it, I rode during my apprenticeship years. It is fitted with a dusting side car now and gathers dust in the shed.

  20. I live and fly out of Albury . My piont is the radio does not receive down to 115.6 so I am unable to obtain ATIS .
  21. My radio does not recv 115. Which is the ATIS for Albury air space and as such I need to call the tower both departure and inbound to obtain the basic info. I have a micro air radio fitted.

  23. My point is , most things are good about flying an RA aircraft except they are just shy on take off weight and it's not that they can't carry the extra, because if I fit pods I can get an extra 50 and that 50 would make my flying options better
  24. The planes are fast enough for sure but max weight for is too low for 2 passengers and full tanks . Americans and Australians are not all 60 kg. I guess not every one wants to fly a big fat 2 seater, but allowance should be made for the ones that do, I am not talking 800 or 900 kg just 650 to 700 kg to cater for the bigger people and more people could enjoy flying without the expense of GA. It's funny that they will give more weigh if you fit pods , go figure. Just think how many more could enjoy what we love to do .
