  1. Half the price of the complete OzRunways. Very expensive considering no printing costs.
  2. Glad you survived the accident. Aircraft can be replaced. We all get trained what to do but luckily most of us don't get tested by the real thing. It took a cool head and good skills to put down and survive. I really hope you are on the mend soon.
  3. You can't use electronic devices to do your Navs. You have to do all of your plots and calculations the old way. I love my iPad with OzRunways but what do you do when it fails if you can't navigate? My iPad has failed twice in flight in the past 10 months. I enjoy navigating both in the air and at sea. It is a skill that needs to be mastered and practiced.
  4. Make sure you let us know when you are coming to Aldinga. I will come down and say hi. I find my 170 ok but then I have more than enough padding. LOL.
  5. She looks fantastic. I like the look of the seats. Should be very comfortable on long trips.
  6. Hi Gareth, She looks great. I can't wait to read your report on the first flight. It looks like you guys have done a great job of building a good looking aircraft.
  7. Thanks Mick. Not quite that stupid yet though. LOL. I tried that one. I think it is strange that it is only on 122.5. Hey Mick when you changed the Tachometer does it need calibrating? I only get 2800 revs even straight and level. At 2600 indicated today I was cruising at 100 knots. She ran sweet as today. Looks like you got the right cylinder. LMAO
  8. I could meet you at the hangar after 1400 Friday or before 1100 on Saturday if you wanted to have a look. Any help greatly appreciated. I had to fly today without using the strobe.
  9. I had a problem today when I turned on my strobe light. My radio started pulsating until i turned off the strobe. I haven't had this problem before. The only thing that has happened is I disconnected the neutral strap on my battery while doing some work. Funny thing is it only happens when the radio is on 122.5 Gawlers CTAF. If I change to 130.45 the issue stops. Can anyone give me some advice please.
  10. I don't think I will ever stop seeing the image of a replica Spitfire roll over and go in vertically at an air show. Every time I get low and slow in a circuit I remember it. Hopefully that will make me fly safer and remain aware.
  11. That is great. Enjoy the flying now before racing into Navs. It is a great time in your flying life. Congratulations.
  12. Probably a dumb question but why are the bolts so long needing lots of washers? Why not shorten the bolts to the correct length?
  13. I didn't realise this was a spelling and grammar check zone. I will get my PA to vet all of my posts in future.
  14. That's why with the approval of Jabiru I had my LAME fit a cut out between the battery and solenoid. If the solenoid sticks then I switch off the master and the battery is isolated. I had heard stories of solenoids sticking and burning out the starter motor. Now when my Master switch is off the battery is totally isolated.
  15. Just buy the Zulu2. Works fantastic.
  16. Opinions are like Bottoms everybody has one. I agree Phil.
  17. Hey Herm glad to see you are still around. Haven't caught up for a while. On topic I love my iPad mini with OzRunways.
  18. Well done mate. Enjoy this moment. Next is to get your Pax endorsement and share your skills with a friend. This is just the start. Safe flying.
  19. Cam doesn't know it but I have a camera mounted in the back of 7314 so I can see what he is doing with my aircraft. LOL. Only joking Cam. I have complete faith in your flying.
  20. Only difference for us Eric is Cam went solo in 6 hours and clocked his 20 hrs today and passed his exam. Bloody youngsters. LOL. I should add he is a very good pilot. Oh and humble to. Well done Cam.
  21. I love my iPad Mini with a knee pad. A lot better in the cockpit than my ipad2.
  22. Talked to my LAME Mick during the week and he advised me to stay with the wooden prop for now. I will take his advice. He hasn't steered me wrong with anything in the past. Besides the finance officer wasn't impressed at $1800.
  23. I am interested in the new prop now available for the 2200 engine. Price is $1800 plus freight. Does anyone have any experience with these props? Are they worth the extra cost above that of the Timber prop? Jabiru say an extra 7 to 10 knots at 2800 revs. Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
  24. Well done Sabrina. The aviation world is all at your feet now.
