  1. If not Hyundai what about Honda, they already make a 1800cc water cooled fuel injected flat 6 cylinder for the Goldwing range
  2. I just heard on 7 news they have found the plane with the pilot deceased Can't find any other reference to that news. Steve
  3. I received a text and an email with a link to the form and to the sign on section of the RAA website.
  4. Jabiru 430 is normally a 4 seater and VH registered. I'm thinking you mean a 230 which is a 2 seater and RAA registered.

    J160 experience?

The 170 is a 160 with a 230 wing. Hence the 160 is limited to 540kg and the 170 to 600kg. I found the 170 a bit too floaty when landing for my liking.
  6. Thank Yenn. I have a friend at Boyne Island and was looking for somewhere close to land. He suggested Rodds Bay. Not sure when I would be likely to actually make the trip. Steve.
  7. Hi. I am looking for information on the grass strip at Rodds Bay near Benaraby, SW of Gladstone. Was wondering who owns/runs the strip and permissions required for landing. Steve
  8. Jabiru do not recommend Mogas but they do not say to not use it. Quote from J160C manual 2.5.4 Fuel Grade • Avgas 100LL • Avgas 100/130 • MOGAS with minimum Octane Rating of 95 RON1 may be used. • Do not use fuel additives such as Octane Boosters. Jabiru Aircraft strongly recommend using AVGAS. Automotive fuels should only be used where AVGAS is not available, and if used, must have the highest anti-detonation rating practically available.
  9. I sent an email to OzRunways outlining the issue, this is their reply. "Thanks for your message. We had a bug affecting the Wx/Notam tab today that we believe is now fixed. Hopefully, when you try now it should work as it should. Sorry for the inconvenience. Let us know if you continue to experience any problem." All working OK now.
  10. What about Whitsunday Airport on the road to Shute Harbour. It's privately owned but they may allow you to fly from there.
  11. There used to be a list of all RAA registered aircraft but I can't find it now . Steve
  12. I'm guessing you are fairly close then, or you have a very big camera lens.
  13. The satellite photo on Ozrunways has the aircraft between the 2 buildings ? and 1 doing a turn round on the eastern end of the runway. Don't know how recent that is. Steve
  14. Hi Don't know about the fuel but I would suspect it is from town. I haven't flown there yet even though it's only 20 miles away. You could call them with any questions you have that I can't answer. Steve.
  15. Hi Davidc95. CTAF 126.7, google burnett flyers, this is the website for Angelfield airstrip at Murgon. All the detail you need will be on there. Cheers Steve.
  16. Previously CZ125, Honda CL175, Yamaha CT175, Yamaha TX-A 650, Yamaha XJ650, Yamaha XJ900. Currently Yamaha FZ600, Yamaha FJR1300. Obviously like Yamahas.
  17. Kingaroy airport has swipe bowser for avgas, no ASIC needed, no landing fees.
  18. Grew up on a farm about a mile north of the Heathrow strip. There used to be a couple of farm houses close to where the strip is. I think they blew down in a cyclone.
  19. Hi Jim Saw this thread and thought I would check out the strip on Google maps as I am not too far away. There appears to be 3 strips in close proximity near Atkinsons Dam, which one is Bradfield? My guess would be the northern most strip which appears to have one good grass strip. Can you get a coffee there during the week? Steve.
  20. Just found this site and thought I should join. I live in the South Burnett and have a share in a LSA Jabiru. I have about a 100 hrs solo so still very much a novice.
