  1. He landed and a shadow emerged from a hangar holding a shotgun, it was the famous captain. Up untill now he was just a myth but in the flesh he was an impressive military type gentlemen. Spitting out his chewing tobacco he said.....
  2. Meanwhile Slarti lands his cheetah in the middle of the Highway and gets out. With all the new gadgets Biggles has installed for him he has short circuited the system reversing the guages:hittinghead:. Slarti thought he was going at Mach 1 with a full tank:helmet: but really it wasn't an overspeed buzzer it was the stall warning and the tanks were dry. Biggles feeling bad, landed beside him and attatched a tow rope to Slarti's nosewheel "I will tow you back" Slarti gasped NO!!!!! I just replaced that nosewheel:crying:. Biggles said "I'm from the bush, I know what to do". With a fistfull of throttle and a cloud of smoke they were off, 100,200,300 400ft and then.....
  3. OOPS!!! I forgot all about it. I have been going North now for 2 days and am 100000th place.
  4. Biggles said it was me, I have also added som other gizmo's in ther for you aswell. You to now have an Ipod, gunrack and a big sticker saying "I'd rather push my Cheetah than fly a Jab. Slarti says thanks but then asks what is this new guage on my dash panel. Biggles says it is a......
  5. Facthunter, What do the citabria usually sell for?
  6. Fine said Slarti be like that Slarti zooms past hanging the finger and cuts infront. This really shi!!!ts the 747 captain off but he is unable to respond due to the hostie between his legs(wiping off the hot coffee of course;))
  7. Biggles didn't know at the time but he was actually holding down the PTT button. This caused all the ATC to become extremely ill with the sound of Romeo and Juliet stuck on repeat. With the ATC out of action there was a holding pattern 8 levels high over the field. Stuck right in the middle between a 747 and a A380 was Slarti in his Cheetah he said......
  8. Biggles performed a spectacular snap turn and was right on Ruds tail. He asked him to follow but Rud refused. BAM!!!! Biggles opened the canopy steering with his legs and shot the F-18 with a sawn off 303 from behind the Cheetah's seat.
  9. Two overpaid Anti Terrorisim officers were sitting in their top secret bunker watching the radar when they saw the poor controller break mach 1 over central London. Not wasting anytime the scrambled two f18's to intercept. At the controlls of the first Hornet was....
  10. dam, I knew I forgot somthing, My guitar strap wrapped around my Allan Jackon CD. I will fly real low past you do you think you could grab it on the way through???
  11. There was silence on the radion then he spoke"Heavy Plane Shifter this is Tulip Planter here, we started this thread so we can call vent our sacasim and wit in one place for fun" But just after that there was another radio call. It was biggles he had just done a circuit in the opposite direction and wanted to get permision for a high speed inverted super low pass in his cheetah. ATC responded with.....
  12. And then Avalon tower recieved another text message "hi and thanks for entering the coca cola win a thruster competition, just text back in 25 words or less why you think it is that makes the thruster the ugliest aircraft in the sky. Just then there was a angry voice over the radio it was.......
  13. Thats a bold statement, I to agree with the increase but what concerns alot of people and it is a fair comment is that will RAA become swamped with old buckets of unairworthy bolts. The new ones might be plastic but they are also in most cases more safer, easier to fly more economical and most of all New(I say in MOST cases). I am not saying that all old aircraft are bad, gees there is some beautiful old aircraft flying but they are also well looked after and maintained. For the average Jo I would much rather see the rules bring a bit more competition in pricing into the market place so we can all fl in safer aircraft for a better cost. I can be honest I would feel alot safer rocking up to a flying school and seing a flightline full of near new Jabs instead of seeing a full line of early model 150 and 152's.
  14. I have sent you a PM Pylon, thanks for your help.
  15. Biggles, while you are there wire a mixing table into that Cheetah of yours and swing by Brissie to Pick me up, I reckon we could have one hell of a party back to Avalon via Perth with a fuel stop in Cairns:laugh:
  16. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows Phill Adams? He flies out of Sydney and owns a Vampire. Is he a member here?
  17. Walkera's are fine but parts are not as easy to find in stores as others are. For the price I would reccomend a Blade. Nearly every shop stocks parts, they are cheap and are highly upgradeable as you progress. You will be up to the T-Rex before you know it. Search for E-Flite Blade on the net
  18. Seb, I personally believe that RC Helis are alot harder but thats just me. The T-Rex is an unreal helicopter but after flying one I wouldn't say they are the best to learn on for the simple reason parts are not cheap. Their are other great kits to start with like the Blade Ian mentioned in his thread aswell as the twister 3D which fly very well and parts are cheap expecially rotor blades. But it is like most things if ya wanna fly them just persist
  19. Common guys lets play nice and just learn. Theres no need to keep digging.
  20. Coaltrain, I am not really sure of much on the northside but there should be plenty of sports ovals around, there is a big shopping centre on the main road just before you get to Nundah. It has a huge sealed area on the south side of it where you see people getting motorbike lessons. I flew a little .15 size warbird in there and there was plenty of room on Sunday afternoons.
  21. I have to be honest PD the kit cam pre covered:blush: I just don't have the time anymore to scratch build anything. I have purchased a decal kit to add a bit of a personal touch to the scenario but apart from that this is a lasy build. Your ducted fan story reminds me of one of my early projects. I had a .15 size motor at home and some spare time( I know dangerous) so I build this contraption that could only be classed as a rocket lol. It was a tubular fuselage only 2.5 inches thick and had a wingspan of only 1 m. It had the fuel tank strapped to the top of the fuse between the wings. At the time I has a spare 2 ch radio so all it got were ailerons and an elevator. The engine was started and the throttle jammed open and away we went. It only had about a 5 minute flight time but that was at nearly mach 2 lol. It lasted nearly three whole flight untill it got the worst case of aileron flutter and proceeded to self distruct. I managed to get back two seros and a reciever thats it. The poor litte .15 ended up about 2 inches into the ground.
