    Hi all, Just wanted to show off my new toy. I am no longer a member of a RC plane club for a few reasons, 1 it costs more a year to stay a member that a years membership to RA AUS and two why pay that much to put up with all the bull ???? that goes on in those places aswell, like guy punching each other beacuse apparently their model is 2 db too loud for their delicate ears apparently Anyway:off topic: I was going to go and buy a parkflier but the electric thing still scares me a bit and whilst rumaging through my boxes I found a OS 46FX wanting a new home. So after much to and fro I purchased a FLy Cat 46 kit. It has a 1200mm wingspan so it will easily fit in my ute and with a friend who has kindly mowed a strip in his back yard for me I will have a good toy to test over xmas. I have addded a few pics of it (not mine but to give a guide to what it looks like) The Kit is well built but as it has a rear fuel tank I can see a few C of G issues happening

    Gees Tomo when you put it like that forum's will end up like smoking, we will be only aloud to look at them 4 metres away from an entry in a well ventelated area or in designated forum areas with 12 foot thick lead walls. And then when you log on you will see a nasty picture of a brain tumor with the words Forum Kills on it And then some goverment body will start an add campain showing a little girl asking her dad to play with her but he can't cause he is to unfit. If I only new I would have lived this long I would have taken better care of myself:laugh: Gotta go, it's time for my designated smoke break lol

    I couldn't agree more Brett, I have seen it alot aswell and I thought it was common practise now I know different. I don't think there was anything insulting about Michael's post.

    I'm still using a JR2610 and cannot fault it. I currently have eight models pre programed into it and 1 Heli. It's been a great radio and even though it is 36mhz I don't think I will change for a while. They are available at a reasonable price still. Also be very carefull with the so called radios that come with RTF packages. to be honest they come free for a reason. The only one I have ever seen that was any good was the 2.4 that came with an eflite blade and to this day I still use the controller in a few park fliers i have but some of the ones I have seen that come with RC Planes are a nightmare.

    I'm no engine man either but I know I once had a race bike that ran a dry sump. I remeber one day having a high oil pressure warning and then a BANG!!! which turned out to be an expensive experience. When the engine was rebuilt and started the same warning showed again. It turned out to be where one of the braided lines had a crack near the external pump. (I know aircrafts would be internal) and it had been drawing air in and then presurising it. A simple $80 line caused $6500 damage.

    What a Waste Thats crap, I have never flown into YHOX and to be honest I have never seen it BUT this seems to be a trend of todays society that the money in the hands of fools can be dangerous. $350m good luck in todays market and as said if it already has heaps of vacant land around even harder. Why don't these so called graduates and smart business man put their heads together and start designing a few airparks around this country. I know Gatton has one and if the land surrounding it is vacant why not here. They could make their money out of the housing lots and also keep the airports. I can see a day when the only place that us normal folk will be able to afford to fly will be on flight sim:crying:

    Evan, Any photos you have would be great. I have also heard the hardest part is getting the steering head and fork rake correct. So if you have any ideas I would love to know. Cheers
