An index to subjects - I would assume that is what the Search function is for, you enter the subject and search for it. You can even streamline your search to just headings, everything, different sections etc

Numbered posts for reference - There is no guarantee that a post number within a thread stays that number so if you reference say Post #82, after deletions (moderation etc) that post may become #75 so it is not an actual reference any more.

There are several options for referencing specific posts:

1. Post in same thread - use the Quote button in the post

2. Post in another thread use the Permalink function i.e.

- Right click the date/time of the post and select "Copy Link"

- Paste the link in your post and you get:

I can get an addon that provides a Bookmark system that allows you to Bookmark any post/item on the site and puts it in a bookmark list for yourself, you can even set-up different Bookmark Categories, make them public for other users to see your Bookmarks or make them private. The addon costs $30USD and then $15USD every 6 months. I wonder how much use it would get i.e. cost/benefit. If a First Class member wanted it I would probably spend the money.

Now, when you insert a link, a brief view of the link source will be displayed making it look much better. For example when you add a link to Air Services, the link text automatically changes to:

It was my first time as I have been trying to stay clear of any potential. I Have COPD so when Covid first came out my Dr said that If I got it I would be dead due to the heavily damaged lungs...standing in trenches working around crushed rock (silica).

Because of the COPD I have had 4 immunisations and I was immediately prescribed the Anti Virals and a different puffer than the steroid one I am already on (daily) and I survived it. For normal users they can not delete there posts as previously mentioned, it could make other replies to the post as being useless, sometimes even look silly by not relating to anything but normal users can edit their posts for 15mins after being submitted:

After going to a minimum of php version 8 on the server certain site components stopped working, Classifieds, Movies, Books and Quizzes.

Classifieds - a new section was created and working for you to add any classified listing you want

Movies, Books and Quizzes are also now working for you to add any to these section that you may like to contribute to everyone else on the site.

Access to these sit6e areas is from the side main menu so please, add what you can to each section and help build them up for every site user...thanks for your help in building the site up

The view counts should now be fixed...fingers crossed

A new Classifieds section is now available by clicking "Classifieds" on the main side menu.

More work will be done to enhance the Classifieds section as time permits however I welcome any comments on how to improve it for you...thanks

Update...

Nearly there. This is what the new Classifieds section will look like...you will notice that it looks very similar to the other sections of the site. I will update the view of the actuals listing into something that will look far more appealing as time goes on as that needs a lot more complicated coding

Hi, I have been getting asked a lot on what's happening with the Classifieds section of the site.

Recently the Forums software we use went to a minimum server requirement of php v8. If I didn't upgrade the server to php v8 I would not have been able to install any forum software updates including any security updates so I did. This meant that many of the other functions of the site like the Classifieds section no longer worked. I have been able to update most of them however Classifieds relies on a 3rd party who just isn't playing ball to the point that he is ignoring those that use Classifieds on their site.

The only way around this and to safeguard the site in the future from this type of thing is to develop our own Classifieds section BUT, it is a big job however I am nearly at a stage where I can switch it on. it will cover most things and I will be slowly building it up to a more powerful Classifieds section as time permits. keep watching over the next few days for Classifieds to appear again in the main side menu.

i apologise if this has caused anyone any inconvenience but it will be better in the long run ensuring that the Classifieds section won't be impacted like this again...thanks for your understanding...Ian

One thing that I wont stand for on this site is the bashing of any aircraft especially Jabirus. ALL aircraft and engines have their pros and cons and what is one man's trash is another man's pleasure so PLEASE don't knock another man's pleasure. Please use the "Report Post" function if this occurs so a moderator can act on it...thanks for your understanding and hope the site is a pleasure to ALL aircraft owners and pilots.

Did you know you can add Accommodation to an airfield in our Airfields list here on Recreational Flying. In fact you can add anything related to an airfield in that section.

Just go to the menu item Resources -> Airfields, click on the airfield you wish to add info to, click Comments on the pop out balloon and then add your comments/information in the next screen...hope this helps

Guys, I wish to apologise for me being a bit slack the last couple of months with orders placed in Clear Prop and general site admin however my focus has been elsewhere. I have been fighting multiple malignant melanomas going through many scans and surgeries, multiple infections and the lovely use of Oxycodone but we seem to be beating it now with the last surgery only requiring every 2nd day visits to the doc. This means I can start catching up on things and processing any delayed Clear Prop orders and site admin duties. I hope you understand and I again apologise for any inconvenience.

The Videos section is now back up and running...access the Videos section under Media in the menu

Community Members Map is now updated, I am slowly getting around to everything else although the Classifieds section is proving troublesome...will keep you informed
