    Not quite in the same category but I had a check-up and associated blood tests done and the results cam back bordering on pre-hypertension so got a bit of a talking to about this. Then 13 days later it so happened that I had another check-up through a different doctor (they had a special promotion thing & I thought it may be more comprehensive) which also included a blood test done by the same lab. The results were excellent, many of the major factors were quite different numbers and the doc said less than 5% chance of cardiac problems. The other funny thing was the first doctor was looking at me strangely when I came in for a check-up, apparently men don't do this. She ended up asking me if I was worried about something such as.... ah having sex with other men!! I was so shocked & stunned I could hardly speak; it never occurred to me she may have thought like this. Haha, pretty funny in hindsight.

    Hourly rate is important of course but not as important as the total hours required - check the schools average time to certificate. Some (many? I'm not sure) try to milk it out as long as possible.

    Yeah, cull them with more regulation that'll fix everything and lower the hourly rate we pay for sure /sarc. CASA will advise how to do this, they're good at such programs (or pogroms). How about first providing data on the damage these 'cowboy' L2's have supposedly done including number of actual incidents or accidents caused.

    As others have said placing the container on the ground for loading seems not to be done in the US, just use ramps, it isn't that bad. I've dealt with Skyview Aviation in Tracy, CA and know they send aircraft to AU fairly often. Got them to ship an engine and later a prop for me. They will pack and send, you may chose to go there and pack the container yourself and possibly save some $$.

    Hey John (or anyone) is this correct or an assumption? I have no idea but what if the exact opposite situation went down - J suggested they could take U etc to the cleaners and strip personal assets etc? Might be wrong but I feel a public servant or government agency publicly labeling a private companies products in this way without also quoting substantial supportive data / evidence is almost unprecedented except in the case of serious fraud, imminent and serious public danger or criminal misconduct which is clearly not the situation here.

    Whyalla Airlines. CASA illegally crushed them, they sued and eventually won a mega payout. Probably no-one at CASA even got demoted, taxpayers just coughed up a little more to cover the ineptitude and the folk of Whyalla are left the worse off.

    Government (via Ungerman and CASA) attempting to crush Australian businesses - indeed an industry. Recall they did nothing whilst Robinsons were incinerating people.... I can't see any data included to back up the claim of 'high and increasing'. CASA's fee's are high and increasing, would be timely to apply the same approach to them perhaps. You'd think they would have enough on their hands sorting out the RPL and Avmed shambles, but apparently it's OK for them to produce defunct products.

    Media report today implied they had lodged the paperwork but hadn't received a response in time, probably the Indo's were dragging their feet. Big chunk of baksheesh to cover it now, $5700.
