  1. Interesting BBC article.
  2. Pretty sure the ANCAP rating would exceed a motor cycle and they are still legal.
  3. From the Slovaks. Not so sure about the stability of this thing.... but I like that they are trying.
  4. Some of the flight attendants would likely recall the original.

  7. It'll be released here about six months after it is in the US.... just to test your patience and to help build your resistance to the temptation to download it.
  8. It's well worth the read - good article, explains the temp issues.
  9. "It flew at nearly Mach 7, seven times the speed of sound and twice the speed of a rifle bullet. The speed record it set 47 years ago today still stands today. It flew so high its pilots earned Air Force astronaut wings: 280,500 feet or 53.1 miles above the earth. It pioneered technologies that were used on the SR-71 Blackbird, the space shuttle and the reusable spacecraft in Richard Branson’s future Virgin Galactic passenger space program. And it killed test pilots in an era before redundant flight control systems and modern safety protocols for hypersonic flight. It was the North American X-15. Today is the 47th anniversary of its fastest ever manned, powered flight."
  10. "Sikorsky unveiled the S-97 Raider yesterday, which will be capable of hitting speeds of up to 270 mph. The Raider is different from other choppers in that it has two rotor blades on top, both spinning in opposite directions to ensure it doesn’t spin the chopper out of control. The model also has a propeller on the back which increases its speed. The fastest helicopter that exists today is the Lynx with a recorded speed of 248 mph. The Eurocopter X3 design would be capable of reaching 293 mph, but production of that design is years away." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfggwmhcvC0
  11. A young man was walking along one of Southern California's sandy beaches with his surf board. He suddenly spots this bottle which has recently washed up on the beach. It's obvious it's been tossed around for a long time. He picks up the bottle and notices that it still has the cork intact. So, being curious as to what may be inside, he manages to get the cork out and out pops a Genie. After expressing profound appreciation for having been let out of the bottle, the Genie grants his benefactor the classic, "one wish" and it will be yours. Being an avid surfer, it doesn't take him long to say, "I've always wanted to surf Hawaii, but I get seasick on ships and I'm afraid to fly. Would you build me a bridge to Hawaii?" The Genie replies: "Do you know what you are asking for? Do you know how long the bridge would have to be? Think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The supports required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! It will nearly exhaust several natural resources. And the maintenance of that bridge! No, think of another wish." The man said OK and tried to think of a really good wish. Finally he said "I've been married and divorced four times. My wives always said that I don't care and that I'm insensitive. So, I wish that I could understand women ... know how they feel inside and what they're thinking when they give me the silent treatment ... know why they're crying, know what they really want when they say nothing ... know how to make them truly happy ... I really want to understand women and how they think!" After a long sigh, the Genie responds: "Would you like that bridge with two lanes or four?"

  20. Craig I know of some that run on Mogas and getting 1000 hours before overhaul no problem, I do believe they have significantly improved over the years. Another advantage is they are very cheap to overhaul compared to the likes of Rotax or Lyc.
  21. Fantastic! Did you come with the first fleet?
  22. Try and get a test flight in the latest version J230, very nice.... plenty of power to get off quickly.
