    Any figures on the success rate of this program - as in what percentage went on to complete there certificate and are still flying? On the one hand it's a good concept but on the other I wonder how much do folks these days value free things. So the deciding factor for me is the success rate.

    Nice drone footage from Western Australia. The drone crashed into the water but camera kept filming underwater.

    Has anyone here seen 'Unbroken'? I've read some positive reviews online, apparently the aviation filming (simulation?) is very realistic.

    Two points Oscar 1) Once a few years back I (who am a nobody) wrote to minister at the time Phillip Ruddock and some weeks later received a detailed response. It was very defensive of his position but it was quite lengthy and specifically drafted, certainly not generic. 2) Having worked in parliament house Canberra I can assure you the female staff are young, smartly dressed and mostly smoking hot. The males are nerdy and some may well be spotty but not the chicks - the HR department has high standards.

    I suggest the government should be consistent and extent the ANCAP system to motorbike users, only 5 star rated motorbikes on the road also. You know it makes sense!

    Yes the westerlies can be great when you want to go east! I was on a QF PER - ADL flight once which left Perth very late & the pilot needed to make up time so must have hooked in. He advised mid flight we were averaging in excess of 1150 km/h groundspeed!

    I get my dental & medical done overseas, but the same would apply - if I'm good to drive in Thailand or Vietnam would be good to fly anywhere also. With RAA if you vote in CFI's, flying school owners and others that either enjoy or stand to gain from additional regulations & student or pilot requirements you will get additional regulations and requirements.
