Hi weighed everything and kept under 400.kgs mtow the bike was only 12kgs the rest was light hiking stuff I also took enough 2st oil for 1 way kept it to 2 hr legs at 20ltr / hr and kept to airstrips that were not to far away from the towns so 2 jerry cans/ leg and some exercise worked well for me started out with 54 hrs flying and added 30 and learnt a lot and had a great time. 15. Hi Karl to me it sounds as if all is working as it should , with eng running and inst on there should be not much power coming out of the battery or going into the battery 1 will flatten and the other will cook the battery so it appears that the regulator is doing its job. I may be corrected by others . Mark .

Hi all, a trip I did Guildford Vic to Maryborough Qld the rear controls removed the stick shortened and the windscreen to take the pressure of my neck and back , seat moved back as far as it would go for my long legs, jerry cans and push bike to ride into town for fuel and camping gear , what a buss, the shield had no adverse effect and added 5 knots to cruise at 60, hand held radio was held in a container attached to an ali frame at my elbow , 14.7 hrs ever 4 days up 15.2 over 3 days home,, had a ball.. Mark
  18. Hi all, M61A1, that would be my understanding also. Mark
  19. Hi yes the helix stays the same no matter which face is connected to the gearbox the air is blown away from the motor. Mark
  20. Hi me again to clarify I used a brolga prop and a 582 from the drifter and to turn them around and use them as a tractor with the prop hub on the other face the prop would not work effectively, the leading edge of the blade becomes the trailing edge of the tractor and the blade shape is backwards. the shape of brolga blade changes from leading edge to trailing edge, round on the leading sharp on the trailing, you have the flat side of the prop to the rear of the plane, and it will pull you along but you wont get the thust that you need. You have to play with a prop because you dont get the same perspective playing with black boards. Mark.
  21. Hi all after playing with prop and keeping the rotation the same way, to go from 1 face to the other face of the prop hub , the leading edge of the of the blade on a pusher becomes the trailing edge of the tractor. Mark
  22. Hi Ozzie make sure that you have all the placards that are needed, I took photos of all the placards and there was 1 missing the ' warning bla bla persons fly at own risk ' so now I have to photo that 1 and send it, then I might be up in the air again. Mark
