  5. I've attended the 3 Temora events - this year was disappointing for me in that the Trade exhibits were missing & the forums weren't as numerous or should I say, topics as interesting as previous years selections. It was very noticeable that the variety of aircraft was missing. I liked the Sonex, RV's & any SAAA aircraft being involved & enjoy their forums as I think they provide lots of real knowledge for all. Sadly there really were no rag & tube aircraft bar a couple. I was looking forward to seeing these aircraft & they never turned up :( Also missing are any true ultralight dealers, save maybe Quicksilver - even the Trike presence was missing. The exhibits that were there were way, way too spread out. It's sad to know paid up exhibitors didn't turn up.. for what reason, who knows. There weren't the number of TIF's happening this year either. Last year the flying schools were there with aircraft & doing multiple circuits, not so much this year. As far as VH rego aircraft being awarded prizes, that is just rubbish - Its an RAA event , GA welcome but not prize worthy . I will definitely go next year because I love the event, no matter what but lets hope the RAA movement picks up & the Board listens to the members when they send out their NATFLY question-air that they promised, in the next magazine. H
  6. Great Job Don, some nice piccies there:clap: H
  7. Come on Big Pete - youve got grand children... cancels out the sad & the eventually lonely bachelor .. H (PS I do like stories with happy endings though:)
  8. Heh, Heh... I think the famous Gold tooth may have been traded in on the new Rat Nest (sorry abode..very flash!) :) H
  9. Incredible generosity from Maj (Ross ) this morning. He took me for a flight all around Temora area. The early morning shadows made it sectacular scenery :) Met up with Wndsor 68, who has travelled down with Ross. He seems to have volenteered to everything he can & is having a ball from what I can see. We met Old Koreleeah (unsure of spelling there) with his Jodel. Today Spacesailer started chatting to me & before long we realised that he was also a forum member. Captain is here in stealth mode mingling with the local rodents ...... Neil Sddwell & co owner Matt with freinds from Penfield in Vic are also here.... It's been more social than I'm used too but has been fantastic to meet these new faces & also to put faces to forum names. Think the industry support is down from previous years which is a shame. But overall a great event. Its fantastic having all the Sonex, RV & SAAA mob here. Actually there are quite a few VH aircraft here which I think is good. Not as many Rag & Tube as I had hoped for, maybe they will turn up Saturday. Cheers H
  10. Hey Maj & Win, Have a fantastic & enjoyable flight. See you Thursday (I should arrive about 1300) give me a bell & I can hand over the chairs for your comfort & Neils contribution to your forum. It'll be grat to catch up again in a social & like minded way. Cheers H
  11. Rain, hail or shine, I'm still going H
  12. Hi AK, I think there is a good day in it for a family. Your wife may get a little bored but she could head off to Temora for a break. For the kids I suggest organising a TIF in anything from ultralight, trike, Gyro or even an aerochute. Reckon that would make their day a memorable one! Around lunch time there should be an aerobatic display, which is good. If you were on your own a couple of days is best, especially if camping at the airfield. Great atmosphere & meet new like minded friends. That way you can go to some of the interesting & informative forums. Hope that helps Cheers H
  13. That's good to hear Maj, hope it leads her to a long & fruitful future. I have plenty of room to bring the extra stuff that Neil has offered, so sounds like a plan Cheers H
  14. G'day Maj, It will be great to see you at NATFLY. I'll have a couple of extra chairs on board so between myself & Blue Drifter you should be sweet. Anything else I can bring up for you let me know - you should still have my number else PM me. I'll be arriving Thursday - leaving Sunday Cheers H
  15. Hi Kaz, Can any old bunny with a camera come along to video some (hopefully) elderly aircraft or is this just for current & past pilots of Coldstream to enjoy? I'd hate to tread where i'm unwanted :( Thanks H
  16. Thanks Riley, I may just do that H
  17. G'day Nev - I was hoping for something somewhere nearby to get the experience of true rag & tube. Not much in that type in Vic :( H
  18. Could I ask where you were able to get the flight training in a thruster? Thanks H
  19. I'll be low flying in my Landcruiser... H
  20. Gday Jack, Good strip to learn at. Cross wind 90% of the time (book early flights initially) Right & Left circuits & a cross grass strip for engine out practice. Have fun H
  21. What ever takes your fancy - means little difference to me Cheers H
  22. A Pig meet (meat?) sounds good anyway DJ - name a date & I'll try & be there ;) but try to make it a couple of weeks away :)...............................busy on last job for the year but would love a catch up & listen to the "discussion". H
  23. Thanks for sharing the story, pics & the vids were great - Macbook or PC it doesn't really matter, I have both & both talk themselves up. Macs look pretty & are easy to get ;) - PC's you have to get to know them first , then they will do what ever you want :) Cheers H
