Hi Vev, would love a flight but please NO PRESSURE! Say go away or whatever & that is fine by me, no worries - I am willing to try & assist with costs if that helps. Not too sure re privacy here, the PM post seems to be lost/hidden or I can't find it, so please contact me on [email protected]. Love to meet you Cheers Howard (H)
6. What an incredible Solo effort! H
7. Hey JG, Not only are you an adventurer doing things that most of us can only dream of, you provide great information and inspiration but mostly you are an artist. You should flog your photos in BIG frames at the local tourist haunts (like Karanda) - at some of the going prices for these, it could fuel your next few trips. Thanks again for another fabulous adventure to places that I've only seen from ground level.......(brought back lots of good memories though) Cheers H
8. :blink:Embarressed........ H PS - weather was fantastic, especially when I look at my home town, eh DJP?
9. Good on you Tomo - onward & up but don't forget where you started:no no no: Cheers H
10. Hey Gundy, Oscar is the spitting image of you! Same infectious smile Obviously a future pilot Cheers H
11. This hurts so much in such a small community, you feel sick in the pit of your stomach. Though I only knew him as Heon from our forum I did see him at NATFLY passionately talking about the Petrel. Sincere condolences to all the families involved. H

Isn't she pretty!

She is beautiful - especially to the one who admires her & will love her so much, faults & all ---- You're a lucky man..........just don't tell you're wife! H
13. Looks like you had a good day with a nice mix of aircraft, Tomo H
14. Hope this hasn't been posted before but I thought it was pretty good. Click on the MAP in the upper right hand corner to bring down a visual menu of the different sites within the museum, then click on a dot within that site to view the exhibits from that camera angle and then follow (click on) the arrows. Then click on-screen to rotate camera view. Move mouse over plane to identify. http://www.nmusafvirtualtour.com/full/tour-pkg.html
15. Here are some pics - I thought full credit to the builder, looked really smick H
16. Gee Maj, maybe you should write for a magazine. Great read & report - any photos :) H
17. You are a busy boy Win - good on you - thanks for the vids:spot on: H
18. I flew the Landcruiser again (sadly that's my life) As mentioned before, the event didn't have the buzz of last year & seemed down on numbers but never the less I still enjoyed myself. I would like to see the exhibitors closer together - the large gaps were dissapointing & made the place look deserted. Maybe exhibitors didn't turn up? I would love to see more rag & tube, slow going aircraft exhibitors. Fisher aircraft would have been one.. Last years building of the Wallaby was great to witness. Shame Hobrook didn't bring a couple of exhibits from thier museum as they did last year. I wouldn't mind being able to roam the "Fly In for the day" aircraft but they were parked miles away & probably out of bounds (not sure) Showers & Toilets were OK (I got up early :) for the numbers but maybe another portable block particularily for the under wing campers may help I enjoy the forums & wouldn't mind more to chose from or maybe repeats so you can work around conflicts. I'd like to see SAAA included more. They have a lot to share & I think their presence would be benificial for both parties. They had some great forums last year. More TIF oppertunities would have been good. I went on a Trike TIF & it was a great experience - sort of like vertical skydiving when trying to fly from the rear seat, though. I did hear a few people who wanted better accomodation. Apparently there were houses to rent but not advertised anywhere so people drove in instead of flying in Next year .. if I can get there.. I'd bring a mouse trap :) - overall I loved it but yes there is plenty of room to improve Cheers H
19. Had a great time at NATFLY :clap2:& met with quite a few forumites. Didn't seem as big as last year to me but I'm sure the surrounding weather :freaked:put a few off an attempt to fly in. Missed MrLocks yet again & by the way Mr NarrAHratorlocks :typing:I think the mice did a very good job of keeping the numbers up replacing last years Locusts. Heard lots of big blokes squealing:yikes: in their under wing tents at night. The Rat made an impressive entrance into the RAA meeting:ranting: - once the RATTling off of his paid up membership number, the awaited secret questions were asked. Once uttered there was deathly silence as all the board gasped inwards creating a vacuum:bye: (hence the silence) Then there was a lot of scurrying about:chase: and it wasn't just the mice. Eventually a mumble of a response was muttered by our illustrious leader - sorry but I missed what he said. Rat stood TALL, showing his magnificant size, baring his yellowed fangs & stared at the board with his beady red eyes, reflecting the sun off his golden tooth straight into the Big Boss Bloke - he then asked his second leading question. More scurrying and another silent period. Not sure but by the vague response, maybe our boss is really Pinochio. Other than that I thought Steve handled everything else admirably. Cheers H
20. ..an elephants ear in a 20 knot(aviation term) headwind...
21. Well done Darky, you persevered & worked hard - you deserve it, so go enjoy H
22. MrHart reached into his sachel & said :"Here ElRatto, you may need to use this!"...
23. ....mmm..." Mavis trailed off in her own thoughts. :Rabia:MrHart turned to Rattatooey and said "Did you notice my new work of art at the Temora general meeting? I've taken my art in a new direction after the success om my VomHart period.....its called PHart. Funny how the hanger cleared so quickly when I exhibited it - must have been something rotten those board members said".
24.
SPLAT!!" MrHart had wondered why the RaterCritic hadn't said anything:drool:"You know I framed it", said MrHartache "Its hanging up in the local MacRattery. A glorious example of my work. I call it Vomart!"
