  1. .....The Rat motioned for Tublet to come over.. ..Turbospanner could hear his typing echoing off the empty corridors of the NES storyline, which had been battered to death by the "Y" generation. :sad:He quietly dragged his newly aquired possum tailed cap that he made on his holidays & was going to show off to the Submarolla crew & sat down The Rat said .." Typwriter has been made to walk the plank and the WA boys were given a stern bible lesson from God.:dog: Father Pasterblast tried to smooth over the harsh lesson but with no success. " the Rat sadly looked down at his long smelly tail...& continued the story "Disquiet has now entered the NES, there has been mutiny on the crudsorolla" he said Turbforlorn looked up in surprise.." the mutinous crew sunk the sub storyline & are now rampaging around the forums creating havok....:encore:" Tubz turned....

  7. When I joined RAA (at Canberra headquarters) :clap:they asked if I wanted to buy a log book at the same time. This made sense. When I got into the plane to read all my new exciting paperwork I was dissapointed when I saw the log book.thumb_down It's a real crummy cheap layout, especially when I compare it with my old gliding log, which had lots of space for lots of info & notes. So my question is - can I remove the pages of this log book & paste them into another more substantial one:question: Thanks H
  8. Try Googling Manfrotto Clamp Cheers H
  9. Hey Thomo, the 230 is a bit like a dead duck :yuk: when you forget to get those flaps up, trust me... Surprised you didn't comment on the extra amount of rudder required on take off compared to the smaller powered Jabs  Love the sound of that 6 cylinder engine though:ecstatic: Cheers H
  10. A car GPS that does off Road is the Hema one. Basically a Navman with Oziexplorer built into the system. I would imagine you could load your maps in for flying, easily. Bit expensive I think, so... I did a Slarti with my Mio. I run it off an SD card so no corruption of the primary Mio software/system. Great as an off road GPS & if I purchased some VNCs, WACs it would work a treat - just got to get flying again to try it. H
  11. :cool_shades:Could be a question placed in the other thread ? "Dinner with CASA's CEO John McCormick " H
  12. Comes up "private" - unable to view. You need to open it up to the world:hug: Cheers H
  13. I tried ringing that number & it just rang out. :idea:Used the mobile & booked in that way but was told the number should read: 02 6978 0255  Hope I got it right  Cheers H

  17. I enjoyed my time at Cowra.:jump: Weather was good, people very friendly & knowledgable. Met up with Facthunter & Slarti but no other forum members. Build quality of the experimental aircraft was beautiful to perfection. Brumby factory tour was great. Impressive quality & attitude to their company product. They are building a prototype high wing version. It uses same rear section of the current Brumby. 18. Go to classifieds on left main menu. You may need to log in. Then go to the classifieds menu up top under the banner. New layout is good from there Hope that helps Cheers H
  19. Hey JG, Another fabulous story & adventure. Keep them coming. You Savvy blokes have all the fun. I just wish Tatslotto would come my way then I'd be into it to. Cheers H
  20. Out of interest I ran the Mio native Navigation & it happily provides correct time once GPS is locked in. (unlike when I go straight to Mio Pocket) Then I plugged the SD card in & correct time followed through to Mio Pocket system, so started Ozi & all was good. Still got me baffled though..... .... Seems that Ozi isn't sending correct time to the system?????? Oh well, it's only a minor inconvenience. H
  21. mmmmmaybe... I would have thought such a small device would just utilise the internal battery. See what I can find out, you could be right, sounds right :cool_shades: Ta H
  22. Thanks for the quick reply Ross. Unfortunately I've done all that but when I switch it off, it loses the plot when switched back on. No worries, I'll just have to remember to set the time before I open up Oziexplorer.:Disappointed: Cheers H
  23. :beg:Gday Slarti, I've done the deed to my Mio & all is great (Good for 4WD navigating too!) Only question I have is setting the time. Once the GPS finds it's location the year & date are good but the time is always wrong :scratch head: & I have to manually set it. Any clues to get around this?:ne_nau: Thanks H
  24. Driving there I,m planning to drive up. Anyone from Eastern Melbourne (TDN,LIL,CEM??) or on the route there who are flying up & would like to off load some luggage, PM me to see if it can work out. Leaving 17th, back either the Sun or Mon. Cheers H
