  1. Nobody claimed that. Fact is we have here a thread that has multiple interpretations of flight procedures and little consensus, including one post claiming in some circumstances its OK to fly in the opposite direction to everyone else whilst joining a circuit. We aren't talking about people making mistakes here, what we have is people stating different interpretations of procedures that are in their opinions the correct ones.
  2. Re: drones use in crop spraying, I know Japan and probably other countries have used large radio controlled helicopters in that role for decades, so Drone usage is certainly feasible. Perhaps a matter of area involved v cost differential of manned aircraft V autonomous or remotely powered vehicles
  3. The up-down thing Is to do with what hemisphere (north or south) you live in ...In houses on or very near the equator the switches are left for on right for off
  4. Hello Meglin, I remember you from some years ago in the UK Microlight forum (no longer exists) Your propellers always seemed competitive in price and of high quality, unfortunately I can only fit what is approved to my aicraft I wish you and your country well and hope there is light in your future
  5. Nev no need for the disingenuous waffle because you cant actually admit you said something that was mistaken (something we all do). The quote function is there in plain sight at the bottom of every post......1 click
  6. Nope still dont know what you mean..... repost the picture or quote the post containing this picture
  7. Indeed which is why I mentioned them, but going back to Pure piston Aero engines as discussed were there any that beat the Napier sabre in SFC?
  8. Deltic was a work of art, but as far as aero engines are concerned wasnt the Napier Sabre the pinnacle of Reciprocating engine developement? P.S. leaving aside the turbine compound wrights in B29s etc
  9. No idea what you mean re a hardened pin. ..and yes it does NEED a more powerful starter, which is why Rotax decided to upgrade it some time ago Poor starts kill the sprag clutch which is on many installations an engine out job
  10. Did you get any comparison pictures zg?, I could probably do with changing my old black starter for a heavy duty version
  11. Today I flew to Popham about a 240nm round trip nothing really to write home about except at about 45 minutes into the flight and despite really quite bumpy and thermic conditions managed to maintain control of my aircraft whilst having a jimmy riddle into the fabric conditioner bottle I keep for such emergencies and didnt spill a drop I have to admit the exercise gave me an enormous sense of accomplishment...and of course relief
  12. +3.9 is pretty hefty
  13. Yeh I guess Maximum, CuRrent and MiNimum (-) G loadings
  14. Yea they are just a resistor that affixs to carb body near the area where the butterfly is located, as much use as a chocolate teapot imo
  15. Seeing the pictures that's exactly what it is, I have done the same except with a shorter hose that enters the opposit end of the filter near the carb throat avoiding the loop...does the same thing
  16. Fan-bloody-tantastic😃
  17. It actually says in the piece... China uses similar looking Hydrants to American Hydrants
  18. I think he probably reacted to help danny and the footage after it cuts would either be him dropping the camera or it flailing about so wasnt worth showing
  19. Nah I reckon the video is real, look at the mirrors wobble at different frequencies in the hover, one of them looks really flimsy. I don't think they would put negative detail like that in a fake video
  20. I didnt mean the breather if that was directed at me (its hard to tell who you are replying to as you never use the quote function)
  21. They removed the drive shafts (and who knows what else) for the flying part of the video, probably too heavy with them fitted. (pause the video on the bit where you see a rear view on the track and there are clearly drive shafts and a diff) The flying car always was and still is a daft idea, yeah you can build one but then what?, does anyone seriously think someone is gonna take something that expensive and flimsy into modern road traffic? One bump and it'd be a write off even if repairable it would be under an airworthiness regulatory system,...so huge cost Concept always was nonsense
  22. Does it actually go into the filter?, perhaps a makeshift primer?
  23. Yes both types should be oiled
