  1. I've heard about these zero displacement engines. They are used when you want to get "nowhere fast"
  2. I've created a pack of monsters. One little name change and now Ian is up to his neck in pm's. But then again, I've all ways wanted to be a trendsetter..............
  3. Dont worry about the stickers, just put in a "HOLY SH*T BAR " It also doubles up as a teatowel rack and a place to dry your undies.
  4. On the other side.............. use the force Luke, use the force............
  5. Ask Ian to do it for you
    1. Piet Fil

      Piet Fil

I thought it may have been something that obvious, thanks
  6. Hi all, just a heads up...........Have changed my user name from pete.bess to Nieuport Pete. Still married, just wanted something different with an aviation feel to it.
  7. You could try using this program http://www.obviousidea.com/windows-software/light-image-resizer/ I find it does the job but remember to save the photo in a different folder as the original will be overwritten.
  8. I truely think there is a market for a small plane that can seat two and be transported easily due to its folding fuselage and be stored at home in a small space (hangerage costs can be very high and restrictive) ande have a very unique look. Rag and tube construction seems to be one of the easiest and cheapest forms of aircraft building and therefore one of the easiest ways for a person to have themselves an aircraft, building wise. Since I am a rag and tube builder myself I maybe biased, but there you have it.
  9. You boys would get an A in woodwork class if I was the teacher. Its a pity such detailed work gets covered.
  10. Maybe they are Scottys new undercarriage...............Flinstone style
  11. Well stone the crows, your right. Maybe Scotty is building the wrong fuselage.
  12. The only thing I can pick on at the moment is the use of those sawhorses for the undercarriage. Might be just a tad overkill.
  13. Congrats and best wishes on your new job
  14. LH bottom wing now in place. I was setting up incidence, dihedral and sweep tonight and was trying to figure out how to set the sweep when the fuselage is bowed in the mounting area. :puzzled:Dopey me.............the top wing has a 5deg sweep and the spars mount up in line with each other. Just drop a weighted string line down from the top spar and line up the bottom one. All it took was an hour of head scratching. Now I'll spend half the night pulling splinters out of my fingers. I will endevour to post some pics tomorrow.
  15. Ive invested in a new kit............just for a rainy day.
  16. Been trying to put up a 6ft colourbond fence to keep a young fella in. Managed to auger a few holes the other day, went down about 4ft and the ground is soaking wet at that depth. Before all this rain I had cracks opening up in the yard big enough for the kids to get their feet into. Good to break a leg while playiing footy if not carefull. Had been thinking of making a small microlight but was afraid I would have fallen down a crack on take off. If I tried it now it would be like disapearing in quicksand.
  17. Ive joined up. Now I just need to get the Nieuport finished.
  18. Found this sight. All you Thruster drivers might be interested. http://www.oranafilms.com.au/on-a-wing-and-a-prayer/
  19. Aagh................Too short, too short!!!!! A good laugh though. Thanks. Seriously.......a book would be great.
