Yes it would be zero......on here, out there in the real world however would be somewhat different! Doesn't matter what is put in place for rules & regs some will always abuse it!!

RV-6 prop strike on Tecnam, then refuels and takes off!

What would fighting him prove? He's obviously not making or in this case made a responsible decision but fighting him would also be irresponsible. -

True but it's called fight of flight when any human is faced with shock, in this case the latter!! -
Personally I cant see QF getting this sausage factory up and running, QF have a lot of issues behind the scenes other than very few pilots from GA coming up thru the ranks! Interesting times ahead for the Red Rat!!
-
That was posted here pages ago, there will be more councils wanting to jump on the band wagon for sure!
-
S Spot on!! Some just don't get it!!
-
Never said it would. You didn't answer my question re what yr GA commercial background is as I've not met a single pilot in the industry that says anything other than its stuffed at the grass roots level.
-
Excellent detective work thereMost in the GA industry know that GA is stuffed, CASA and a few other factors like you mentioned are responsible for the decline!

Nea Nearly bought his place last year, flew in to take a peek at the place. Nice guy, can talk the leg off a rocking chair Didn't buy it (yr lucky I was gunna clear out all the kites in there) due too many grey area's from a council point of view, think it's still on the market now. -
The Red Rat love this sort of thing, it's cunning tactics, lots of councils will be falling over themselves to hand out free public funds to have them operate there!!

What's yr commercial GA background?

I disagree. Using a GPS only for gauging wind speed is not advisable. It's not just the speed of the wind a sock shows its direction and variations in wind strengths via the very nature of the sock moving about especially in gusting conditions. It would be fool hardy to make that judgement on indicated speed verses a GPS speed only. -
There's nothing to abandon anymore, GA charter is all but dead, has been for sometime. The traditional route to heavy metal these days will cease to exist altogether in the not too distant future thanks to our wonderful CASA!! With the MPL concept traditional training will be a thing of the past.

That was just awful to read and so sad. Humans really never learn for the poor decisions others make. RIP to a fellow aviator -:( -

I guess my comments could be read that way, it was more ref to the twin overhead tanks with the Cessna type being selectable. -

Oh that's just awful, can't imagine what those involved went thru after that accident. Flying is risky, we each elevate the risk factor as soon as we push our planes out of the hangar I have just that, a camera mounted under the plane with a small screen on the inst panel. I don't look at it too much as it could have the reverse effect, distracting. -

Whilst unporting was possible I doubt it, there would be enough fuel from the pick up point of the tank/s to the carby plus the carby bowl contents to run the engine during any short term neg pushover. Most aircraft with twin tanks overhead such as Cessna, Belanca etc rarely drain evenly that's one of the reasons why they are selectable to balance as required -

Cavitation is just the word they used, the result was an interruption of the correct air fuel ratio. -

Wow that is amazing!! Makes my eyes water! As for not being able to see where you are going in an RV conventional u/c then you shouldn't be flying!
