jackc
I would rathe be with SAAA and have SAAA rego, if it existed 🙂
facthunter
They just use the VH or VHexp system. It's complex if the Plane is say a one off jet but they don't do training in their own right.. Nev
jackc
Maybe they should be allowed to offer training in sectors including RAA? FAA USA are looking to allow LSA Training facilities to do FAR Part 103 training.
facthunter
I saw that. What they SAAA choose to do is up to the membership. Avoiding training saves them a lot of agro. (and cost and obligation to CASA.). Nev
coljones
There is no reason why SAAA can't offer RAAus training for both construction and flying - they just need the instructors and planes.
facthunter
it's not that simple. IMHO RAAus training is for a certificate covering CERTAIN planes under certain restrictions and permissions. Nev
trailer
This is the RAAus team. No idea who gets paid or who volunteers. Photo from the RAAus Facebook page.

jackc
I would like to know what the CEO’s ‘company car’ is, and what any other ‘staff’ vehicle allocations are?
Blueadventures
Cost wise rego is about the same between RAA and SAAA when you compare all costs.
clouddancer
As far as I know there are 12 pilots in that photo and there are no company cars, there is not enough budget.

Different to AOPA, they have a great big bus 🙂 RAA is ahead of Police Air Wing in Qld, their acting Chief Pilot does not have a Helicopter Licence, and some of their pilots are not special constables, so the land beside a suspect, but cant arrest them 🙂 Thing that bugs me is, every time I get an email from RAA its signed off as being from RAA Team 😞. Has no one in that organisation got a name? Or don’t they want to be identified? My bitchy Sunday morning!
old man emu
Yeah, "team". Implies a group working together for a common goal. Or is it a case of "many hands make the light labour"?
facthunter
'Team" and "Journey" are part of modern propaganda. Many chiefs for not a lot of Indians. SAAA's cost is for build inspections whether you are building ot not. Nev
