  1. You were lucky. Mine was delayed a month and now only valid for 11 months.

  4. Yes it is on this Saturday 20th. I was over there today at Dunwich and they were getting ready mowing the strip.

  6. Finally got my new rego certificate and card in the mail today 15th April. Only thing it still expires on my old expiry date of 16th March 2014 even though it shows an issue date of 12th April 2013 I would expect it to expire on 11th April 2014. Good on you RAAus I have 11 months rego for the price of 12. Quote from EGM of 9th February 2013: "35:58 Steve Runciman look we take your point and you're absolutely right and there's two arguments if you like, why should a person who's been caught up in this, with their aircraft registration. Why should he pay, sorry he or she, why should they pay for 12 months registration and only get 10, because at the end of the day it wasn't their fault. We discussed it, we decided the best way forward with this is not to ping the individual if you like, it's totally unfair on them, as soon as they got their registration it was for 12 months. They were paying for 12 months. It's not their fault that they were caught up in this error and it's only fair on the person who owns the aircraft to get the 12 months. So we take your point. Absolutely. This CASA audit has not only cost us in time and members faith, if you like, but we've got a financial loss and we've got to run with that " Well why didn't that happen in my case ? Looks like more poor communication between the Exec and management if it was discussed as described in the quote above. Why do these type of things keep happening in RAAus. It has certainly cost them in membere faith in the organisation. You are right there Mr President (or maybe) Mr President.
  7. My renewal paperwork and a new set of photos sent in 15th Feb, Rego expired 16th March and still and still waiting, waiting

  10. A new Registration Update has been posted on the RA AUS website thanks to new Tech Manager Wayne.
  11. Got the same letter yesterday. How about the 'Important Notice' included. "Please disregard this letter if you have already spoken to us here in the office or if you have already sent in the required information to register your aircraft". Guess I'll disregard it as of six weeks ago. Hope mine is getting near the top of a pile on a desk too.

  13. My situation is the same pmcc expired last week, sent form and photos in over a month ago. So much for the improved communications from RAAUS via the website that the president was going to do. It is six weeks since registration report No.10 was issued and that week they only managed to process 64 renewals. With 3000 aircraft on the register there will be an average of 60 more renewals every week coming in. Thats not going to decrease the backlog very much at one stage mentioned to be 400. What a Shambles.
  14. I guarantee he won't be the only one not going to Temora because of rego issues. The RAAUS President said he would keep us informed about the rego debarcle on the website but the last report No.10 of 9/02/2013 was six weeks ago and it said they had processed 64 renewals that week. Considering we have 3000 aircraft on the register that's an average of 60 renewals coming in every week and if you can only process 64 in a week that is not helping to get rid of the backlog. 400 was mentioned at one stage. At that rate it will take Two years to catch up.

  17. The return line back to the left tank in my Tecnam is shown in the fuel system diagram and described in the aircraft service manual so some manufacturers may consider it part of the aircraft.
  18. biggles5128 You will soon need to mow it at this rate. I use an old Howard Rolmow72 on mine. Cuts fairly short and rolls with 450kg keeps it fairly smooth. flyhi
  19. Crosswind is not a problem usually. The wind funnels down the strip between the hills and provides extra headwind. Just don't land down hill on 30. Land up hill on 12 and even be prepared to accept up to 15kt tailwind. The slope is quite surprising after you land there the first time. Been in there many times during 1970's and 1980's in GA singles and twins when the resort was owned by TAA.
  20. You need a bigger aeroplane HH. All Airbus aircraft with side stick controls have two slide out map tables.
