  1. Finland, Finland, Finland ...... Yep, Nokia has been dead for yonks. Keep up.
  2. I am currently on Vodafone because I am mainly in metro areas and the pricing is better including international calls. Yes, the combined VF/Optus coverage is better than the VF coverage previously but I think it is misleading to say it is better than Telstra. In pretty much every area the Telstra coverage is better and if you regularly travel in rural areas you still want Telstra.
  3. Loud and clear came about people got confused with '5 by 5' or '5 by 9' none of which is that complicated. I recommend you only use 'loud and clear' or a short plain language description ie "muffled", "understandable but lot of background noise"(borderline too long), "weak but clear" etc
  4. I do not know the panel layout of this particular plane but it surprises me the number of critical switches on all type of planes that are not guarded.
  5. In Australia credit card charges are generally not more than 1.5%.
  6. He was as shonky as f*ck. Gladys was not stupid and knew this. What does this say about the rest of the party if he was a good option ?
  7. Just a bit of a clarification on the Magna Carta; this was not bought about to make the peasants equal to the Lords. This was bought about so the King could not rip off the Lords. These same Lords did not give a damn about the peasants.
  8. Read a newspaper article (that I now cannot find) that the owner bought it 6 months ago for $60,000.
  9. It had earlier travelled Shell Harbour to Camden then west of Sydney, then north of Hornsby down Broken Bay then southbound coastal near Newport at approx 1000ft when the engine problems occurred.

  12. Can we stop ignoring the fact that except for AZ and the chinese vaccines all the Covid vaccines were mRNA vaccines. Proir to Covid no mRNA vaccine had been approved for general use in humans anywhere in the world. Mainly this was because previous mRNA vaccines were largely ineffective but odd side effects were noted and reported on. Even today no mRNA Covid vaccine has a standard approval and all are currently being given on their original emergency approvals. There is no other vaccine type in Australia, NZ, UK, USA, Canada and western Europe being dispensed on the basis of an emergency approval. The Australia governement advised us that the pandemic emergency was over in February 2022. I would have expected that these emergency approvals would have been withdrawn at the same time. The TGA could have then requested trial data and put the vaccines through the normal approval process. By February 2022 millions of doses had been dispensed and the pharma companies had a huge amount of data. This has still not occurred. Please explain this to me.
  13. He is not an anti-Vaxxer. Amongst other things he is supporting people with vaccine induced injuries. The real problem we had was that many senior state/federal government medical officers with medical qualifications made statements based on what pharma companies told them that have now proved to be false. They made many of these statements. How about we analyse all these statements and issue a correcting report with a plan for next time ? How about we support people with vaccine induced injuries ? Rabbiting on about anti-vaxxers while having no plan for next time is just plain stupid.

  15. Knowing exactly were every aircraft is within 10nm of the field but forgetting about your speed or altitude is not wise. All decision making involves information filtering. We should be allowing for more than one correct action/response in a constantly changing environment.
  16. Minimal staff on a Saturday and a member of the public asks if you heard an aircraft without knowledge of an actual incident. This is probably standard procedure and unlikely to change. To review that tapes would probably require calling someone in with higher access so even if they escalated it probably 2 hours plus before they started reviewing the calls.
  17. Best guess seems to be that the aircraft went down within minutes of taking off. Both no departure call and no transponder signal appears to make this likely. A w&b issue seems possible.
  18. Early articles after release mention an NG5 empty weight of 302kg but later googled POH have 335 to 365kg. Empty weight NG5 - 340?kg Adult 1 - 85kg Adult 2 - 75kg 120 litres fuel - 86kg left wing luggage - 15kg right wing luggage - 15kg dog (cocker spaniel as I do not see a labrador fitting behind the seat in a NG5) - 15kg Total = 631kg While this would be illegal I am guessing the plane could probably handle it but all it would take is an extra bag behind the seats and you have a w&b problem.
  19. Ear muffs and skarf type ear protection is available. Sometimes I feeld like I do more research on dog options than plane.
  20. Assuming we are talking about a Bristell NG5, 15kg does seem quite low for the luggage space behind the seats. Probably why it has 2 x 20kg luggage lockers in the wings (further forward). The Sling 2 has a limit of 35kg luggage behind the seats.
  21. Most work gets signed off by several levels of management before being actioned. It is hard to sack the person who did the work without sacking a manager as well (not impossible just hypocritical).
