    With the media, if its a small plane, its a Cessna, if its large, its a Jumbo Jet, if something happens more then a few hundred feet away, it was xx football fields away, if a tank holds a lot, its xx olympic swimming pools if a driver spins the wheels, he was a hoon in a high powered illegally modified drift car if someone shots someone, it was with a high powered assault style weapon if a dog bites someone, its a pitbull. bottom line? Dont trust the media about anything.

    Side note to kyle comms.. You dont have to use itunes if you dont want to mate.. I have an iphone and an ipad, and i rarely if ever have to use itunes. Use iFunbox and CopyTrnasSuite to manage your documents and music files etc. BAsically drag and drop management like you would expect. /offtopic

    I use the halo headset http://www.quiettechnologies.com/ thanks to tomo for the heads up on these, and I LOVE em. The level of comfort from not having something clamping on your head and sunnies or glasses is hard to describe. They are not anr, but they are very quiet. Alternatively, i own a set of Bose QC15, which are bose high end ANR music headphones, and a company called UFLYMIKE http://uflymike.com/ make a GA plug adapter for it, basically converting them to bose aviation headsets, minus a thousand dollars.

    The way I understand it is this: With a slightly higher nose, you may achieve minimum sink speed, which will leave you hanging around for longer, but not going as far. Conversely, if you where to lower the nose and hit best glide speed, you will arrive at the crash site, umm, landing site of your choice, quicker, but having been able to travel further. I'm happy for one of the more qualified souls here to correct me :)

    my last flight i hadnt flown for about 5 months.. was fine, although i no longer have passengar carrying privledges until such time as i can do a currency flight
