  1. Ask your local board rep or better still ask the entire board.
  2. I fly out of Heck Field and the club also came up with just under 150 if I remember rightly. Its a shame that the extraordinary, special, general meeting won't be held there.
  3. Not bad boys, but when was it held and what wines were served at the dinner on the first night?
  4. You want everything. Next you'll be expecting openness and transparency.
  5. Well at least a written copy of the questions on notice and the answers were finally provided. You should be at least a little bit happy with that Andy.
  6. You've just lost two marks from the interview panel if you're after an ops position but thanks for not cheating.
  7. On the subject of the staff selection process, I'd like to ask everyone the following question and you're not allowed to Google it. "When was the Chicago Convention held and what does it mean to you?" (Hint - it has something to do with flying).
  8. I suggested obtaining external assistance when the first audit problem occured twelve months ago but the majority felt it wasn't required. I wonder what made the majority think it was required now? As far as the CEO is concerned I think he's on the full time payroll until the end of the Christmas shut down period. Not sure what will happen if they don't stop for the break. Nick
  9. Christmas Wish List The Junior Members were "mistakenly" grounded on the final working day before Christmas last year, so how can that be bettered this time around, hmmm.... (A parent of one of my students called it the "Ebenezer Scrooge Manuoevre")
  10. Got the numbers up to overturn the confidentially rubbish that unfortunately reappeared but towards the end it was hard to do anything worthwhile when the vote seemed to be regularly 7-3 and you're one of the three. Once Don left it was harder and that's why I withdrew my "tendered" resignation in May. Nick
  11. Hi All, As an ex-board member, the question that screams through my mind is why do so many members that I talk to have absolutely no idea of what is going on at the moment. It would be so damned easy to send a bulk email to each member outlining the problems and giving them a heads up that, "hey maybe this year you won't being going for your usual flight after Christmas lunch or whatever it is you do". I used to send the SQ members the odd email advising them of things like the AGM at Heck Field etc, it ain't that hard. By the way, if anyone's looking for a proxy form please email me at [email protected] P.S. Yes, as you can tell from my email address I was one of those accursed CFI board members Cheers Nick
  12. When I was on the board it took about ten hours a week to do a half decent job. A retainer wouldn't be a bad job and if the money was taken then the I'm just a volunteer response wouldn't hold any water would it? Nick Sigley
  13. Re board members urging member to go to the AGM. Why do you reckon John Rod and I pushed so hard to have the last one at Heck Field. Not all board members are useless at least two aren't in my opinion. Nick (Thankfully) ex SQ RAAus board rep
  14. If you're looking for a proxy form by the way just email me. [email protected] Nick
  15. Who was the CFI? Cheers Nick Former SQ RAAus board member (and so glad to be out)
  16. If you're looking for a proxy form just send me an email. Nick Sigley (Thankfully) ex SQ RAAus board member
  17. Hi dodo where did the misquote come from? Nick (Pleased to be) ex SQ board rep
  18. No need as don has just texted me with it. Will try to get in touch this arvo re thread. N
  19. Lets say hypothetically to make it simple, no club aircraft and no hangarage available. Private hire available through the FTF.
  20. If you were required to pay local club fees prior to commencing flight training at what level would you choose not to learn or decide to travel an hour by car to learn elsewhere?
  21. Sorry it has taken a while to reply but work has been insane. No economic downturn in the GC RAA flight training market but I'm hoping that the rain forecasted for this summer will kick in and let me get some home renos done. Painting the house sky blue at the moment while the sun is out and I'm not IFR on the verandah like a few days ago. Nick
  22. It'd be nice to think that living close to a distribution centre works but it could be that the staff are reading it before it gets to you. Have you thought about checking the seal? At least it doesn't get delivered by mule train like at Springbrook. We get three copies and they rarely arrive on the same day (all the same surname). Nick
  23. Only your spot left Carol, its not going to be the same without you:crying:. As Don is also running in the bielection, if he wins that as well does that mean he gets two votes? Where's a constitutional expert when you need one. As Ian has mentioned congrats to those that were sucessful:welcome: and thanks to those that put up their hands and didn't make it this time. Hopefully the age of uncontested positions is behind us. Nick
