    I'll say one thing, if I ever have the horrid experience of pranging my plane, and am in a position to do so, I'll be letting folks on here know the facts rather than what the media say or what others 'hear'. Even eye witness accounts can be wildly inaccurate.

    Yes, I think it was an intrusion and downright rude to poke a camera at the guy. And turn your &*^% camera so we see the video as it should be seen, wide screen!!!! Her'es hoping he and his plane are up and flying soon as possible.

    I have flown in light rain, but when on finals it became scary because without wipers, the rain on the windscreen made it pretty hard to see the runway.

    The strongest cross wind I have experienced was while flying the Tobago at Parafield. I am not sure of the wind strength, maybe 30 knots but I was holding 30° drift on the downwind leg and on finals. The good thing was that the wind was steady, not all over the place. The landings were quite good.

    I believe there is a program where partners can learn enough to land a plane if their pilot partner has something go wrong. This program was created so that the passenger can be trained by an instructor rather than the partner.

    I landed my Jabiru in hot (>30°) and gusty conditions and found my wind tip almost hitting the ground. Won't fly in that crap again.

    When I was a boy I wanted to fly, Getting my licence was a dream come true. Flying my brand new Jabiru from Bundaberg back to Gawler was beyond anything I ever thought possible. Looking forward to eyeballing it when it arrives.

    Part of my job is video editing, creating videos etc. Lose the slide effects, use fades only. People will stay in their seats that way. Otherwise, great stuff.

    That first photo looks like it was taken at 30,000 feet above the ground, until you see the chain and windsock.

    The trees are dropping more than leaves and bark - huge branches have fallen from several trees in my area. Would crush a car if one were under them.

    If the 'powers that be' were so worried about national security, why do they allow so many contractors with dual citizenship to work in defence on 'sensitive' projects. I know they do this because on several occasions I have worked with folks who have left defence and returned to their home countries.

    Great video!!! I was in France for about a week back in 1980 but was mostly partying hard so don't remember much.

    I always did a weight and balance when flying my mates and myself to various destinations. Even used those horrible 'P' charts when it was as hot as hell. Nowadays, as I get older all the weight and balance problems are with me, not the aircraft!!!

    More info needed. I got my PPL in the early 90s and apart from the BFR I have not needed to do any regular exams, checks etc. Maybe if I was commercial perhaps? As far as I'm aware, all I need to go back to PPL is a medical and maybe a flight review through CTR.

    Oh Dear, I better get cracking, haven't done that exam yet. Not even sure what benefit it will have for me as I can still do an oil change etc. without it.

    They (Super Tucano's) wouldn't replace the F35 but might replace the PC9. I sure as hell would not want to go into battle with a single engine fighter, let alone fly it half way round the world.

    Maybe if Trump kills of any deals between Australia and the USA we can finally dump the F35 rubbish and get some real planes, and save a few zillion in the process?

    I heard the temperature limit is because of fuel vaporization issues. I won't fly when it's hot because my Jabiru is just too light and get tossed about too much. I like to enjoy my flying.

    Yea, I've seen 'LOST', 'MH370' on Oz-Runways. You can put just about anything you want.
