  1. Ian. Got it working. Thank you. -Linda
  2. We were there to talk about our plane, and were often about to give info and we did to several people who asked and were interested. Sorry you weren't impressed PRW. I am there tomorrow if anybody wants to have a look at our plane....and will be all day. Our number is displayed in the front, if we aren't around. Just holler. -Linda
  3. Notice: Undefined offset: 0 in /home/content/25/8339025/html/brief.php on line 53 That is all I get..... -Linda
  4. Mark needs to stick a GoPro on the wings somwhere. -Linda
  5. Robyn. You will be able to fly into Avalon East. See the link that HH has put up. -Linda
  6. Once again an excellent video Scott! -Linda
  7. Scott. Great video, and excellent soundtrack! What do you have the GoPro sitting on, is it a plate or something similar on the strut? -Linda
  8. C. It is a security controlled airport, but some airports are classed as security controlled but do not have RPT operations. An ASIC is not required at these airports. (this is from CASA themselves). Broken Hill has REX going in and out of it, as well as the RFDS. A list is found here. http://www.airportsecurity.net.au/airportsecurity/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=69&Itemid=66 -Linda
  9. Ian. I want something inbetween. Is that doable? -Linda
  10. A bitch-slap one would be handy....... -Linda
  11. Compulsion. Broken Hill at Easter time is good. We have been there a couple of times, weather starts to settle down, but it can still get a tad warm. Fly early in the morning (that's what DS is for isn't it?) when it is cooler, or late in the arvo. Beautiful big airport with a fantastic runway. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Broken_Hill_Airport_overview_Vabre.jpg -Linda
  12. How about having a look at this: It may, or may not answer the very question that this thread has asked. -Linda
  13. It actually goes under "Grampians Airport" -Linda
  14. Wow 5 hours...well done. I have done 4 and that was pushing it, although Brian usually has to go before me! Great pictures Rob, thank you for sharing them. The pictures north of Mildura are specatacular, the country out there is our favourite right up to Broken Hill. Thank you for the picture of the Asses Ears too, makes looking for it a little easier from the air when you have some idea what it looks like. Glad you got back safe and sound. -Linda
  15. We have a 2200 motor for sale. -Linda
  16. And I thank you for your concern, it is appreciated, and I am glad you have someone one does own and maintain them, because there is alot out there who think they do know them, but in actual fact have no idea how to look after them...we have seen the evidence. Keep smiling Merv. -Linda
  17. Merv. I can understand what you are saying, and I sympathize with the rotten luck you seem to be having with them. I am sorry that you are "done" with them, and as you have said the aircraft is good....it is. We are damn lucky to have a wonderful, safe aircraft, that has never given us any issues and is maintained by someone who is very particular about how it runs. And the bagging bit? It's a Jabiru, it has to create some sort of bashing, the name itself is like a magnet. Those who do it know who they are, and with threads that start off with "another through bolt gone" usually brings them in. -Linda
  18. *sigh* The above statement is all you will get out of me, because this will go nowhere without the usual If this was a thread that I had the pleasure of moderating, this would go no further because you have made your dislike for this aircraft/engine quite clear several times. In saying this, you are entitled to your opinion Merv, and have a right to get it off your chest, but in doing so sometimes makes it worse, as the Jab bashers start and it just goes on. -Linda
  19. Hi Gary, start at the bolts in the centre of the engine and work out to the ends making sure that you torque both of the nuts on each through bolt. cheers Brian
  20. There is a short course that I know of that some RA instructors do. P.O.P (Partners of Pilots) I believe it is called and it is designed to understand how to work the radio and bring the aircraft into land the best way possible, if something happens in flight. And no. I haven't done it. I have said to Brian several times, I am not interested in flying it and if he feels ill at all before we go anywhere we remain on the ground. -Linda
  21. You are always out and about. You off somewhere with Sals? -Linda
  22. Newsagencys, Target, Big W, Kmart will have them. -Linda
  23. Compulsion. Go Pro has this as their editing software. It is very good, and you can add music and wording to it aswell. http://gopro.com/software-app -Linda
  24. We have that aswell. We made a bracket out of 2" aluminium flat and bent it to make a flat surface to put one of the sticky mounts onto it and then attached it to the frame behind our heads with some wide velcro tape and it sits with little or no movement. -Linda
