    Went to the local motor bike shop to buy some shell vsx 4t oil for my 912 rotax but was told it is no longer available and the replacement is AX 7 apparently Bert floods say not to use this oil so what is everyone using now I am looking at using shell aerosport plus 4 but dont know who stocks it locally

    i dont think they are I believe they are from damaged cars and modified have a look at the honda web site no mention of an aeroplane engine

    large brown coal power stations get paid about $20 to $40 per megawatt which is $20 to $40 for a million watts which is 2 to 4 cents per kilowatt so they are only getting less than half of what you are getting the distributors get the rest

    the purpose of the 25 mile limit is to allow you to learn how to fly without having to worry about navigation weather etc not to allow you to go touring and sight seeing stay within your 25 mile limit you will understand why when you get your cross country endorsement

    how about instead of everyone spreading rumours people should state the facts.If someone says they have emails and letters they should post them or SHUT UP I am sick of this talk about people must resign for raa to survive WHY WHAT HAVE THEY DONE so come on put your pen where your mouth is and tell us what you know or is it all BS and just a personal vendetta ie throw enough mud and some will stick

    hi we did the trip to lady baron a few weeks ago in our rv12 had a huge tailwind ( 40 knots + ) so got there from latrobe valley in 70 minutes the return trip had a low cloud cover so could only get to 2000' but the wind had changed directions so we didnt have much of a head wind coming back next time we will spend a bit of time looking at the islands

    I have been told only about 3 % of scratch built aeroplanes ever get finished but you have to decide what you really want to do If you just want a project it may be ok but if you want to fly within the next few years build a kit plane still lots of work but achieveable I built an rv12 which took just over 12 months which is long enough to wait when you want to go flying

    i have a GME ELB beacon MT400 it is registered for our boat and our aeroplane it doesnt weigh much or take up much room We just move it from plane to boat as needed

    I run premium 98 when possible and mogas when it is not this is what rotax recommends

    i think i will stick with the rotax and have a tbo of 2000 hours not jabs 500 hours

    Hi paint anything from $500 home job to $15000 full shop job with lots of graphics, rego $220 , inspection depends on the inspector

    you cant fly into west sale when the raaf base (east sale) is active but most weekends it is not active but traralgon is pretty close

    you might need a REL-2 ... SERVO RELAY DECK available from Ray Allen Company - Accessory Items you wire the servo deck to the servo and the stick switch to the servo deck pm me for more info
