1. Checking profile I see a trike? with a 912? Is that right? Have you got socks on your mikes also? Jim
2. From my point of view for what it is worth. Some Micro did not have vox. I pressume you are comfortable that yours does. As to the adjustment from take off I pressume you are meaning you are on full revs. What Motor do you have? It would seem to me you have some electrical interference and that is why it becomes bad when vox opens. A filter will/might fix it. Call me if you want. Jim Austec.
3. OLD, PUffing will not necessary damage the device. If you want send it to me and I will test is for you at not cost other than return mail. Jim Tatlock Austec Avionics.
4. All I can say is remember the dils name (Doug Nancarrow). And in the future if you speak with him express your concerns. Jim.
5. Shags another point not mentioned is that you definitely do your CPL in fixed wing then cross over to the Chopper. Save yourself thousands that way and you then have two skills. Jim
6. Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt  I love that end to your messages..... I work with so many of these people....
7. Hi all. I have been discussing with Ian about advertising on this site for services and he is intending on running a section in the forums called Suppliers and Service (It is already there). As a provider I think it is a great idea. But I am interested in other forums members views. Good or bad? Jim.
8. Hello Fellow Flyers. My name is Jim Tatlock and I own and operate Austec Avionics. I am also a recreational pilot currently flying an X-Air Hanuman and building a RV12.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I am an approved L2 by RAA and specialise in Electrical/Avionics to which I hold trade qualifications. Recreational Flying Forums has allowed me to advertise on his site to help support the RAA members and contribute to the development and maintenance of the site. I realise how hard it is to find support at a reasonable price for Recreational Aircraft. I endeavour to offer a high quality service at a very reasonable price (this is not my full time job so I do it because I like to, not trying to pay off a house or plane!) I offer the following services: · Testing and Certification of Transponders, Air speed indicators and Altimeters to CASA standards · Internal viewing of aircraft with scope camera (recorded) ·Wiring of aircraft · Testing of communications equipment and installations. · Repair of poor communications. · Sales of some avionics, please contact me for details and quotes. I am based in Victoria and live in Geelong. I can travel throughout Victoria or you can come to me by flying to Lethbridge airpark. If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me on the following details: Jim Tatlock, Mobile: 0403 228986 Email: [email protected] Web pages: www.austecavionics.com.au or www.xairvic.com.au
9. Well done Bluey and thanks for sharing. I'm sure every pilot learnt something from your post. One item I would like to comment on is the activation of the beacon that I pressume you did not do. Melbourne would of been hoping you had a GPS enabled beacon. And if so after activation they would have been able to establish your exact position in minutes and then be able to give you a track to safety and guide you in. With that in mind anyone considering the purchase of a beacon I strongly encourage you to spend the extra money and get a GPS model. Great story and safe flying Jim Tatlock.
10. Great work. Im very jealous I wish I had the funds to be doing that!. Jim

Hello

Hiya John, I have an Xair Hanuman with 2.2 jab also. I have a sweetapple prop that gives me a cruise of 80knots. Love flying the plane. I have done a few long trips including Queensland to Victoria. I have a 80 lt tank that gives me a 4 hour duration. Yours In Flying Jim Tatlock.
12. If Microair say its gone then they have a reason. Most likely it was not good. Jim
13. Yep well I will be there from Thursday to Sunday Morning. Wanting to promote my Avionics Service business. Hope to see you all there. And I will be loitering in Ians tent if the the coffee free. Jim
14. After lots of setting up I can say we have the airfield looking fantastic and are ready for all aviators to strap in and fly (or drive) to Lethbrdige tomorrow. The weather looks great, food will be available and we are expecting 70+ aircraft. So make a day of it. If you have any questions give me a call. 0403 22 8986 Jim. Geelong Sports Avaitors.
15. Throttle lock.. LOL Here is an Idea. Cut it, snap it, do what ever and it will go to full throttle. Im guessing a terrorist will want full throttle for their endeavours. Jim

21. That Jabiru pictured should burn quite well.
22. Well you lost me. I thought you said the intercom would not work? Pin 10 needs to be connected to a ground to enable the intercom in the radio. Well looking at the wiring for the A210 that is my belief. But if it is all working then thats great. Jim Tatlock Austec Avionics.
23. A210 Schematic here http://www.radiocenter.es/contents/es-mx/IC-A210-Install.pdf
24. Do you have pin 10 grounded? to enable intercom.
25. What is the question? Im lost?
