  1. I've got one...a little bit different perhaps but it is still an aircraft.
  2. I'd be interested in a short kit. Regarding Aeroflyte...they call it AeroFlight...as they must not have gotten the name in the purchase...but...they already produce Brolga sailplane and Hustler mk3 kits...and I am told the next one will be a control line. The bloke who is behind it is called Brian Simpson and he owns Perth RC Models and Hobbies. It's early days yet but lets hope they keep the dream alive. You can find a lot of the plans and files on facebook here--->Log in to Facebook | Facebook
  3. I've got two of the new Brolga 2 meter sailplanes and they are excellent. Cost of the Drifter plan from Wolf Models is $45 delivered.
  4. Not wanting to steal the thread...but have you guys heard about efforts underway to preserve and reproduce more of the Aeroflyte range of kits?
  5. Where did the owner get them from?
  6. I reckon 100 inch would be better but would definitely be interested in a set of plans either way.
  7. Down load them here. [Aviation] SNS-2 GUPPY Ultralight Plans
  8. I reckon it still exists. You just have to scratch a little harder. I reckon the current situation didn't come about randomly out of the blue. There was a lot of marketing involved in selling the idea.
  9. So how come there was a margin in it 30 years ago?
  10. I did find this online. Now why are there no aircraft like this being sold in Australia any more? RAAF Radschool Association Magazine - Vol 36
  11. Thomo flew one in the last few years that was based somewhere in SE Qld. I did a search but couldn't find photos or the thread about it.
  12. You should be able to get Qld Blue Couch for free off someone. We have it in our yard.
  13. I would 100% disagree. Slope flying of any sort is very much like surfing...as in the lift comes in like rolling waves and you use it to stay on the move exactly like a surfer.. Loose life and like a surfer you sink into the water.
  14. It also seems to depend on whose account you read. I doubt there are too many below much below 500kgs.
  15. The C150 is not 440 odd kgs. Not even factory new.
  16. Is anyone flying a Jabiru as a 4 seater with 4 POB in Australia?
  17. 50 kgs is a lot of weight difference.
  18. From the Ra-Aus tech team.... "as long as the aircraft is not operated over the MTOW of 600kg as permitted by RAAus it is permissible to have aircraft that could normally operate at a higher weigh on the register. In this case due to the MTOW of the Cesnna 152 it would be limited to a single pilot operation with fuel only. Any other operation would be outside the requirements of the Ops/ Tech and CAO"
  19. These are the RA-Aus tech managers own words...
  20. It's not like your RV9 at all.
  21. Both. And you can't register a C150 with Ra-Aus unless it has only one seat in it.
  22. If they have improved so much how come there are still Cessna 150 Aerobats illegally registered with Ra-Aus?
  23. Clifton Flyin in always makes me feel sad. I lost someone very dear to me in an accident on his way to the fly in. It comes up every year and brings back the memories. I have to attend this fly in one year.
