    You MUST be sure where ALL aircraft in a close proximity are at all times. IF you can't see it, be worried till you do. . GOOD radio and procedures is the best AID to such situations. What happened to radio checks? Frequent operations at low level in a salt environment more so, Corrosion. I've flown with 5 No radio U/Ls in the SAME circuit and that's about saturation for me and quite tiring. Overlapping intersecting Circuits Are Russian Roulette requiring extreme caution. Nev

    Most tests are based in passing the exam or demonstrated skills. There is no minimum hours to Solo. as an example At the other end of the scale, no matter what hours you have you must still demonstrate the skills required at frequent times to retain your ability to exercise the Privileges of your license and have recent experience also.     It's obvious this fellow could FLY. HE was probably one of the few "naturals" out there. ANY controllable, heavier than air THING with a useable Lift/ drag ratio is a plane in my book. The "Weather" WAS the Factor here. . He even managed to fly in cloud for a while. Someone would have had to Physically restrain him and how could that Happen in a real situation?     Aren't we assuming it WILL go to a prosecution? We can be rightly concerned about the costs so far but a few people here are not without a vested interest in This affair IF proceedings are not happening , then it's another matter. WE don't know yet (as far as I know) but only then will some people be free to elaborate if they wish to. I just believe in the fair go for everybody on such occasions.     Passing over a non controlled aerodrome at any height above 2500" AGL will not interfere with the circuit traffic. A designated training area can be a different matter. Overflying should take account of aircraft descending on track to enter the circuit, but you must also consider traffic in and out on other tracks. Nev

    Nickel will always be in demand. Sulphur is easily supplied by the Oil refining Process. Usually Crude oil is about 7% Sulphur. Sulphur when burned S02 is really bad for making acid rain, . H2S is rotten egg gas. H2S04 is Sulphuric acid. Nev
