w3stie
I notice the military guys were the first to run away from the scene.
Methusala
Why didn't someone think to turn the master switch off? Seemed to have plenty of time.
facthunter
Plenty of hot engine to start a fire. Nev
shafs64
Why didn't someone think to turn the master switch off? Seemed to have plenty of time. Maybe the only pilot there was the one who crashed
Methusala
I saw that the red beacon was flashing - thought that would be meaningful to a "first responder". Perhaps I think too much.
facthunter
Good spotting. I didn't look hard enough, and I don't like re running those sorts of images unless I"m researching.. Most Helicopters destruct violently. The occupants get thrown around most times. The pilot might not have been in a good state to do the right thing there.. Get the electrics off even before contact IF YOU CAN.. You don't want fuel pouring out of a cracked fuel line or fuel tank, with hot exhaust pipes etc. people running to the scene wouldn't know where the "crash bar" or master switch would be or what it does.. It was fairly likely it would catch fire, with that amount of damage. Nev
