  1. A lot of overthinking going on. Just fly the aircraft..........
  2. FB is a Trump supporter, you expect him to be logical?
  3. Seems worse now, the Q mob seem to beyond all logic. The extreme religious side is even more worrying
  4. People who pretend to support Trump are just trolling, nobody could be that stupid.
  5. Trump is a dill, insane, a dangerous plotting fool
  6. Trump promoted violence, he would not support Pence who did what he had to. Pence was being hunted when the rabble invaded the congress, Trump took hours to make a public statement, that was only when he knew his insurrection had failed. Trump is a dangerous threat to democracy, his path is demockracy. His desire is to overthrow a legitimately elected government by any means. That isn't unusual in the US, it's full of nut cases. What is worrying is that some commentators in Australia give him support and promote his lies, the most worrying was our own PM who was sucking up to Trump. Our own PM has a good friend who is a conspiracy nut, Q Anon fruitloop. I would not say Trump is finished yet, he and his cronies are promoting a military take over.
  7. There seems to be a certain sort of pilot that flies a Cirrus.......
  8. Just what the world needed a 21m span pure jet powered biplane with two separate hoppers 2m either side of the centreline!!!!! It also had two seats behind the pilot for pax. I have seen pics of one spreading solids, I cringe at the thought of flow problems and having one hopper empty while the other still full. Any of the Polish aircraft have good spread/spray patterns. The Drom was the best of any factory setup for spray, the Drom spreader threw a great pattern as well. A well flown Drom could sow the best rice crop of any aircraft.
  9. Flying powerlines has been done for many years. I would consider an Ag rating the minimum training. Was this an RAA aircraft?
  10. Saw it flyover western vic a few years ago, it was very slow
  11. Spanish built Hispano Battle of Britten star Buchan?
  12. Is there any other reason for flying?
  13. That aircraft doesn't look very stable in pitch
  14. Going forward...................😁 You getting that speak from Canberra?
  15. 😁 Any Pipers are great little machines
  16. Colts a lovely little aircraft
  17. I am terrible at maths, not that smart yet I can fly!!!! Use all the techno babble you like if you want to sound smart or wind somebody up but I think stuff that technical has no place in flying.
  18. Couple of things, a spirit level is open to flight forces and doesn't remain level. Bob Hoover demonstration of the roll while pouring a jug of water being an example. If an aircraft cannot maintain altitude it can just descend without stalling. This thread has just become one giant pocket pissing contest. Turns at low speed need you to be aware of the aircrafts foibles and handling, no science degree needed, a degree in pedantic's not required either. Stop this madness.................
  19. Aircraft, Gary.......................Aircraft 😔
  20. Epic PP thread...........
  21. A slip has crossed controls skid usually not. Balanced flight always better, there are times when a slip can be used to loose height/speed. Some people who can't/don't want to crab down final in a crosswind use flying out of balance or a skid. I have always used crabbing.
  22. Not sure about the last variants of the Corsair but most of the ones in WW2 had fabric spar back. I have seen a pic of rows of Corsairs lined up after war in the Pacific, they must have been there a while as most of the fabric had rotted away showing the structure underneath. I would have thought a Corsair was good for over 300 knots indicated. Most of the WW2 fighters had fabric control surfaces and the likes of Spitfire went well over 240 knots.
