  1. Would have thought a 447 Rotax would be ideal .
  2. He is ga as far as I can tell
  3. Must be rauus. Atsb have been notified but act police doing the investigation
  4. tecnams are type certified and can be run on condition even in flying schools. The aircraft my mate is changing to E 24 is a fly synthesis storch so I guess that must not be type certified as he was advised to go E24.
  5. why would anyone who wants to do all that be going for a self declared medical. and it definitely should not be for anything like that.
  6. i think there are a lot of them out there. i met a muster pilot once who had written off 3 r22s.
  7. how many people want to do that anyway.
  8. jared said he has to fill out form 11 i think it is and submit it to casa, they will either approve change to E24 on the spot or ask for an inspection . after that approval he goes back to raaus shows them a picture of plane with E decals and pay the fee. it will be great if its that easy.
  9. class 5 is based on the raaus model i thought.
  10. medical is the same as raaus
  11. if your 24 is private use you can change to E24 experimental if your engine is out of time instead of buying a new engine, for instance the one i am talking about only has 400 hrs airframe and engine but the 912 is over 15 yrs old so it has to be rebuilt or replaced for 24 reg. and you can also do your own work on it under E24 .
  12. 24 to e24 can only be approved by a casa appointed person. L2 can't do the inspection.
  13. Small aircraft near point lonsdale Rd. Emergency services in scene. Hopefully no one is hurt
  14. Just happened, waiting on information
  15. Great news. A big hurdle leaped.
  16. Every time Rotax is mentioned you say how badly designed they are and all the problems they have. Yet no one else has much trouble with them. Yesterday I was talking to my instructor about aircraft and he said 912 are bullet proof. He has thousands of hours behind 912 uls and has never had an issue.
  17. bloody hell. i bet a few pairs of ski pants went to the laundry that night.
  18. i don't know why they aren't designing swap and go batteries like the trucks and fork lifts are doing.
  19. I have been there. Great bloke's . They do some brilliant work. The radial engines are a work of art.
  20. true, but what he says about adding a crank snout and increasing the bearing area has to help. the jabiru prop extension is probably fine until there is a slight imbalance from prop damage and wear.
  21. good luck with it . looking forward to seeing the demo flying.
  22. That's it. I didn't think to look on YouTube.
