  1. The CFI is going to go with me tomorrow for an hour to see if he can help with anything. I still think I just made the wrong choice. I wasn't up to flying but did it anyway.
  2. Yes Glen. 1 bounce and straight to full throttle. An instructor told me a while back if you bounce once go around. He said the second or third bounce will wreck the undercarriage or the aircraft.
  3. Exactly what I have been taught. Good post. I just couldn't get it together today.
  4. Well I did my second solo today and I just couldn't get my head in the game. I think it was a combination of not keeping hydrated. It was hot in the aircraft today.the other was fatigue. I should have made the decision to stay on the ground but I learnt the hard way. Took 4 attempts to get on the ground. A big bounce on one attempt. As soon as the instructor got out I just seemed to forget stuff. The CFI talked me down on the last go , although I had already regained my composure and set up properly for the landing. But knowing he was there made a huge difference to my mental state. Anyway just putting it out there. I ignored human factors and it bit me. I think it's just as important to post the bad experiences as the good ones.
  5. Stop acting like a baby. You know I listen to your advice and aviation experience. I just don't agree with you this time.
  6. don't pull the poor nev card out when someone doesn't agree with you. . Wouldn't a spraying pattern be like a training circuit. We call crosswind and downwind doing that. I think you are reading to much into what he said.
  7. I guess he knows nothing then. Sounded like he knew what he was talking about. Sorry nev.
  8. There is a Honda v twin conversion used on legal eagle I think.
  9. I think he is just thinking aloud. He did mention crosswind and downwind when he spoke about situational awareness. He must be doing something right. 31000 hours as an Ag pilot and airshow pilot is a pretty good resume.
  10. this video is excellent . well worth watching .
  11. I have a hose running from the catch can outlet down to undercarriage and cable tied off there. Before that I was getting oil soaking into the fabric skins on my ultralight.
  12. yes, i don't know why it did that. will try again.
  13. in the link i posted for the exp aviation channel episode the other day. mike patey described an engine failure he had straight after a service. the mechanic used sealant and a drop went into the oil galleries . i forget what brand he said it was.
  14. That's how good my taste is. I actually quite like this one. Sleeker than my xair
  15. I have no idea why you are talking about training. I was talking about raaus stall speed requirements.
  16. no point owning an ultralight anymore. one of these setups are almost as good
  17. thanks. that makes sense, i just assumed, wrongly that group g would have the same stall limit.
  18. thats what i like with the xair. heaps of room once you get in there.
