  1. Last week I had a look at a citation mustang that was at sale for the day. The pilot said he is limited to 2 passengers with full fuel. Expensive ride at 450 lph for 2 people.
  2. I. Don't think this is serious. That's why it is in the jokes thread
  3. Unless the master cylinders are not fitted correctly I would be surprised if it's not a sticky caliper piston. Do as blue says and crack the bleed nipple to rule out hyd pressure. If it's still tight it's the piston
  4. i had an electric carb heat on my jab powered xair. i doubt if it would have helped start the motor, they don't heat up that much ,also i would not want to draw extra current before start up. My battery was marginal because of the long battery cable run. started on frosty mornings no problem at all. as others have said, you must be at idle position to enrich the fuel mix. even cracking the throttle a little bit will prevent starting.
  5. When you own Honda road bikes you learn about sticky brake pistons
  6. I think you will find a tight piston. . Can you push the piston In by hand
  7. there is a video of an earlier flight with a passenger saying the air conditioning was not working or the entertainment systems. don't know if that would indicate other faults
  8. It takes a lot. Have a look at the roll Royce test videos on YouTube
  9. https://youtu.be/z7EZkungFEE?si=ls3XqYeiPcq28pY0
  10. There is a clear video that shows the rat and you can hear it. There are no dead birds on the runway so the Indian officials have ruled out birds
  11. What can cause 2 engines to fail . This is one scenario being discussed because the rat deployed. It will be very interesting to know what happened especially a dual engine failure if that happened.
  12. I will pm you the number of the bloke that owns sapphire aircraft. He is in Bendigo. I don't know if he will part with tube but there's a good chance he will. I don't think he is building sapphires now. He had 5 inch tube new.
  13. You're right. I apologise for my silly comments. Can you stop now. Thanks
  14. The old model has a good reputation so you would think it would be even better with a turbo prop. The ag plane they started with were pawnees that they modified and became known as the Fatman .
  15. do you need to talk to someone. you seem troubled. thanks for turning a thread i put up with good intentions into a 7 page joke.
  16. i have already told you the facts. which by the way are not invented me unlike yours. you know better than the raa insurance broker. you know better than raaus and you know better than my aeroclub so how can i argue with you.
  17. skip, how much do i have to put up. we have gone around in circles for days. why don't you just admit you are wrong and apologise for wasting my time.
  18. The GippsAero GA8 airvan is back in production in the Latrobe Valley. (ABC Gippsland: Danielle Pope) Manufacturers of a new aircraft say it will boost jobs in Victoria's Latrobe Valley after a founding family of the airline business reclaimed it from foreign hands. GippsAero was established by self-described "air nut" George Morgan and Peter Furlong in Gippsland in 1984. In the beginning, they altered existing crop-dusting planes to suit customer needs and requests. Ad They went on to design, manufacture and sell more than 300 aircraft from their Gippsland base to customers around the world. A ceremony was held on Thursday to mark a return to local production by laying the keel of the company's new-model plane, a GA8 airvan. The plane, which is set to take flight in 2026, will be used in tourism, skydiving, surveillance, and humanitarian and freight operations. "It is a bit emotional, after a lifetime's effort of getting it all back together again after the global financial crisis and COVID, and to be supported as we are by the operators worldwide, it is quite amazing really," GippsAero chief executive George Morgan said.
