  1. Yep, an interview I read with the designer he said he built it to 1550 gross, but limits it to 1320 for lsa. So it's a strong airframe.
  2. Has there been a history of complaints from the public about noise or aircraft?
  3. I'm sure all the international flights that fly into and through oz airspace have CASA certified radios....right? Right?
  4. It all sounds a bit tounge in cheek... Hopefully it's the case... If he is serious, advise him that if he IS going to fly in such a manner, don't put it on social media
  5. wowsers! thats a nice shed! The burpengary cathedral
  6. Welcome guru, where are you flying from and in what type?
  7. Not really what he's asking is it? He said nothing about registering it as RAA... he made a comparison to RAA... And even if he had have asked that, a simple answer would suffice, without the attitude.
  8. 'Backpressure' per say, is probably not a good thing, but the scavenging effect of having a well designed tuned length exhaust, is.
  9. has it definitely got a rotax in it? I know that an o320 is an option, and by the look of that bottom cowl....

Tadge, you may have mentioned it earlier in the thread, but did you consider a savannah? If so what made you choose a 701? Curious, as I may be a builder once my 601 is done

  14. sounds like you want this... ticks all your boxes except the automotive motor, but I'm sure you could do that too if you built one. video of wing fold
  15. Correct, if you have a class 1 or 2 medical, you can carry more then one passenger.
  16. I'm sure maj has an ersa... How often is it wrong though?
  17. In Alaska there is a special dispensation from the FAA for the securing of external loads on aircraft. In a lot of the remote areas they have no other way of transporting goods which won't fit inside. Quad bikes, boats, in this case meat/food. An interesting fact is that they (the FAA) say that the blunt end should face into the direction of travel. Boats etc are stern into the wind. I'll find a link to the advisory if I can and post it up later.
  18. yeah sounds scary... I've never experianced a mountain wave, but it doesnt sound fun
  19. Sounds more like a mountain wave then a thermal doug
  20. Good read, well put together mate, looking forward to seeing it fly :)
  21. Interesting mark. The savannah S that I rent is like yours used to be. Full back trim, and one stage of flaps, and the stick is a long way back with quite considerable weight on it. Being a 24- rego though I dont see how it could be rectified.
