Skyranger Nynja soon as a 600 kg MTOW variant
Blueadventures replied to Blueadventures's topic in Skyranger
They have 40 fitted or being fitted and another 10 coming soon, I hope to get one of those 10 and if not one out of the next batch. They have progressed at a steady rate in case some more refinement is needed. They are working on 50 litre wing tanks similar to what we do. One thing that is certain is that they fully test and test fly their products and developments so are good when available. -
Not sure what neck is. My tubes are 0.25 kg each, I also carry puncture repair patches and some spare valves and the screw in tool. Nothing better than a new tube if you get a flat. Jack is 0.5kg from memory. Full tools and spares is 4kg. need to be self sufficient if out land solo. Also carry a mr funnel for refuelling 0.3kg. I weighed all my bits when doing my recent w&b. There is an image in New Nynja to area thread (page 12) cost $80 but well made and light (Google up Peter Anson engineering. Good value.).

25 registration rotax engine tbo
Blueadventures replied to glenT300's topic in Aircraft General Discussion
Yep, email gives time to word a reply, plus get a written reply to a written question. With an email in the system you can then phone up about when the answer can be expected. Tech is busy and helpful. -
I carry one and sometimes two spare tubes, jack to lift wheel off ground, pump and the tools to remove the wheel plus one or two tube tyre foam inflator packs.

Hi RF; most likely a silly comment, could you attach / weld four new engine mount bolt tubes (L2, L3) aft and higher /lower as required for your 'x' orientation. You may be able to relieve enough metal to place the tubes and weld onto the ring mount. May be ok to leave the more forward L2&3 bolt tube insitu. Would be easier than jigging up to have the engine 24mm more aft. Cheers and enjoying your work / design.

Garmin Pilot10 Vs OzRunways
Blueadventures replied to Country Flyer's topic in AUS/NZ General Discussion
Just looking on Ozrunway at the tip of Queensland as some mates posted on faceb that Bamaga has poor rainy weather. Fist time I have seen the main reginal airports coloured as to there weather status. At a glance could get an indication of what airports were marginal VFR (yellow), IFR conditions (Orange) and clear etc. A good additional feature. -
Access to the members side of the RAA webb site and to belong to RAA.

Nice Mark, you will enjoy the first fly in her. Cheers.

Hi T88 What do you recon if we set up a thread where by incidents are posted and findings discovered by the washup including RAA feedback are posted by the persons or persons involved. For example I had an exhaust header touch a coolant hose on a R912 and did a precautionary landing and then fixed the issue with great assistance and was then back on my way. I post the report and outcome lesson learnt tomorrow or next day. Today is my birthday, another one down, just back from Top Gun Maverick' and out to dinner with friends; then a full day tomorrow with out of town visitors. Such may be a way of getting learning out amongst us. Would not like any thread to get off topic. Cheers.

I added a thin seat belt cutter in the cockpit as you never know when its needed. The seaplane dudes are advised to have these.

Nice.

You could consider fitting a clear glass inline fuel filter in each feed line at above ear level; that way you can see the fuel fill in the line. Being factory build I'm not sure about specifics on the fitment. Cheers.

For those who have not done gliding there is a rule that cloud edges speckled with sun light are decaying and less lift and the sharp distinct edges are building and have working lift. So gliding pass on the speckled edges for the sharp to get better lift an d in my powered flying like seeing the speckled edges for less lift / turbulence bumps.

Can / will happen over time. I carry a spare new unit (Curtis brand) and a couple of suitable size 'o' rings ('o' rings will work as a temporary fix); for just in case I notice or become aware of such a drain valve leak during an away trip or at D.I. check I can do some maintenance and be away again. My tool and spare kit is just over 4 kg but happy to carry at all times.

What was the performance or diameter reasons for 4 rather than the usual 3 setup? Cheers -
Nice decaying cloud shadows, would have been very nice conditions.
