Hi Nev let me say ,i am a very good welder ,but as my eyes are now getting weaker from over 45 years welding i would get a younger person yo do it, if you can get it welded (if you are not up spec) get a good welding shop to do it ,there is is not a lot of welding on most planes but it does need to be welded correctly eg the right consumables, temps ,material or as Scotty says ,go do the welding course it will be of great benifit Cheers (From a retired boilermaker/welder) Gareth

  22. Hi John, our fuse was for a 3300, but we are a wider fuse (1200 inside cockpit) this in turn made our firewall 75mm longer (2x100kilo pax) as for w&b our UL is 76 kilo same as the Jab 3300 so no problems there and lots of GRUNT cheers gareth

  25. Gday Friar sounds like a good idea ,evans head field is to be turned into an air park but the cost is ,wait for it approx $ 160,000 for building lot hanger /house plus ongoing fees , if enough interested flyers could band together it could work, finding a suitable site that is in easy reach is one obsticle , airfields are becoming harder to find cheers gareth
