Hi Adam i frequently come across 3 balloons in the Beaudesert area Qld I fly out of Boonah and enroute to the coast or north they are usually up about 7am till 8 am i pass them by about 1 mile and 1000ft above ,noworries at all and let them know that i there ,seem like a cheerful lot, always friendly when i radio them cheers gareth

Aldo, you are right i dont know you ,and far from aiming at you it was a general observation,the Murdochs,Packers,Rhinhearts, and a lot of the "wealthy" have done very little for Australia, Dick Smith helped put Aus on the map for rest of the world , he has spent his own money doing good things for the community , we collectively only remember the wrong decisions/mistakes that people make , the good things outweigh it by spades , Dick Smith is not alone ,there are many wealthy people who give thier time and money for worthwhile causes and the not so wealthy also contribute to/for the benifit of others ,generally i think that Dick Smith has good intentions for the aviation community,i have been in aviation a short time ,and have seen first hand what a few people are like , we all need to get on with each other, we don,t have to agree on topics but caustic remar

  14. Bex , the tall poppy syndrome is alive and well in Ozz, never give up and dont let the Bxxstards get you down, as you say time is sometimes challenged and you are working in another culture, stay with it and i am sure it will become reality for you chin up cheers gareth

  19. the roko was designed by Bristell he worked for Roko before going his own way , he is now being sued by Roko for stealing the design ,that said there are similair designed aircraft in Czech land they have a very BIG aero industry, i am very pleased with the plane Happy flying cheers gareth , and thanks Dazza for the compliments

  21. so far costs for us including insurance,hangar,maintenance Ra rego, $8000, not including Ra cert fees and fuel(cheapest part of flying is fuel)divided between 2 , cheaper than my mates 30ft cruiser
  22. accident happened to a young lady on her solo flight , no injuries but embarrassing for her ,someone said turbulence just before touchdown, parts only methinks
