  1. Hi Hans and welcome. All of these guys (me included) who thought things were pretty good just got knocked down a peg. Sounds like life is good. Send a few pics of home from above.
  2. When we were kids a mate of mine named Mark used to keep going home Cause he thought his Mum was calling him.
  3. I expect primary use will be to carry empty (saving space) to use to cart from servo to plane. BTW are the red plastic Jerry Cans cert or just approved to carry fuel generally, this manufacturer would have to have approval to carry fuel otherwise servos won't let you fill them (would need to check).
  4. I got two requests, first one without photo requests, I sent off through pulse and a few days later got an email conf re-rego and PDF of new cert with card to follow. Then I got the second request advising rego overdue and pix required. The card then arrived so I sent the pix with copy of new cert and request they place on file.
  5. I don't think the Australian manufacturers did which is one reason why the workload is currently so high and will be for a 12 month cycle
  6. The camera being fitted to the frame gives the impression that the pilot was moving all over the place but that was as a result of severe movements of the air frame. He is still over tiger country and if all that hits a cliff wall its not going to be pretty. I'd wager he wont go into cloud again.
  7. I see a shop has the 20 Ltr for $120. The site below starts at $99 or 5 for $90 and larger lots down to $70. Maybe Clear Prop could bulk buy if enough interested members http://liquidcontainment.com.au/cartpage/viewproduct/9/20-Litre-Collapsible-Jerry-Can
  8. Hi Fred, How did you go. Renewed mine a few weeks ago, took a record 6 working days
  9. I have received my ASIC renewal from RAA $160 (inc GST), better than $200 but I've got to get all the ID confirmation again. I was who I was last time, what bulls†#t. Get a JP again to certify, I'm a JP, convenient for everyone else but me. At least with the Blue Card they only want your money
  10. So so true, bloody transmission; and a Horse? Huh
  11. Mick I'll try and contact the owner and see what I can find out
  12. Hi Pugster, is that the open trailer ?
  13. Proper training and ongoing awareness takes care of those issues. If your not careful when taxiing a fixed wing you can also cause a lot of damage. The safety of the Aerochute speakers for itself, over 500 sold over near 30 years and not one fatality.
  14. Hi Turbo, The marketing goal of all manufacturers would be to have their product generalized as its type as Gerni is for pressure cleaners and Victa used to be for mowers ( and by the way what happened to tht windup top with the release catch ).sounds like you are sure of the aircraft type so lets treat it as that. Aerochutes are a 503 or 582 rotax with a large rectangular chute. Theft are regulated by RAA Group D. They are subject to the same VFR regs as fixed wing, Trikes etc. What these pilots were doing was wrong but it is important to blame the pilot and not the aircraft type.
  15. If you have been looking at getting a HD Cam for the Aircraft, consider this especially if you have an open cockpit or like BIG sunglasses .................... http://www.zealhd.com/
  16. That's app 80nm, excellent. Yeah great tool, I'm local works great, best feedback re quality of signal.
  17. Having read the Pilots report (good read) he freely admits pushing the Aircraft beyond its boundaries - Human Factors

  20. If your looking for a bit of ballast for the right hand seat ..................................
  21. Really not as bad as it looks, has a road running beside it and the beach is a hundred odd meters to the east, I've watched the skydive plane take off (182) and as soon as past revisiting runway heads straight to the beach. Not open plains but many of our airports have a runway with minimal options. Regards Mike Ps: 2stroke exhaust might keep the mossies at bay
  22. Hi Fred, Camera was an old 8mp Lumix pocket camera and res was reduced to 800 x 600 for this site, works ok but may upgrade soon Regards Mike
  23. PS Not everyone had a good weekend Regards Mike
  24. Hi Mate, wind was mainly SW - NW, I did'nt get too close cause I reckon the rotors were working. Lovely clear visability regards Mike
