  1. I hope they are the deluxe version with a heated seat ...maybe a bit of padding would be nice too.. David
  2. Build all new jets with an ensuite to the cockpit...I don't know if they could be retro fitted to existing aircraft...probably comes down to money again I guess.. David
  3. Yes well you proved that right didn't you...so why do it... just a waste of time and doesn't add any value to the thread but some people here say a lot without knowing any facts.. I have seen that you don't like it when people say things about your efforts regarding your unfinished engine, so way say things about the new Jabiru engine when you know it's not the finished product... it just makes you look a bit silly and people will start to disrespect you in what you are trying to achieve...don't you think.. David
  4. No..how about you..what's that got to do with anything.. David
  5. Isn't this a test engine? who's says this is the way it will look when they start selling them to the public...give them a chance to get all the testing done first before you start picking on how it looks...to be honest I couldn't care how it looks that's the least of their problems ...as long as they fix the problems and they keep rotating while I am in the air... David
  6. Just did a quick test quote..15 x 18 hangar/slab/erection/sliding Eltrack doors for around the $70k to $75 depending on where it is to be built..obviously if it was to far away from Caboolture I could not supply the slab or erection but I can still give you a great building with the doors no matter where you live... http://australiansteelsheds.com.au/ David.
  7. They are funny that's for sure..I will miss that..but they are all really knobs.... David
  8. Ok I can understand going through the skin dazza...what about if the round goes through a window? I don't think that would be the same result as a wall punctured. David
  9. Maybe a bread and butter knife...an axe in the cabin...I don't think so... David
  10. Another minor party to content with at the polls after the demise of One Nation and the Palmer Party...he will have some good ideas and he will have his followers but in the end it will be the normal winners and losers from the 2 major parties...all these minor parties do is clog the works in getting legislation through the parliament and give us minority governments which are as useful as...well you guys now what...nothing more... David
  11. A depressed and suicidal co pilot...and no one picked it up...makes me feel really confident to jump on a commercial aircraft no matter which airline company it is... David
  12. The person that is sent in to the cockpit to be the 2nd person while the captain or co pilot go for a break I think would need to be a trained person not just a hostie.... David
  13. No I didn't have my video camera but I did see it doing it's tricks, very impressive performance..I wouldn't mind one in my hangar ... David
  14. Great day lots of people and aircraft....thankyou Graham for the 182..
  15. Leaving early so we should be there for breakfast...looking like a great day... David
  16. I think they were trying to get across some mountains in Patagonia in South America..maybe that was an area not a country...Chile I think? Was that the story with Hammond forgetting to put the handbrake on the old Tojo and it rolling and then crashing down the hill..that was funny...there been some very funny episodes...I like their format on the show, some info on cars etc but then you have the humourous side..if you didn't have the humour it would be boring I think... David
  17. Half a million pounds per episode....I think he can afford to retire or do whatever the hell he wants too...I would tell the BBC to shove it where the sun doesn't shine..
  18. I don't think he actually hit this producer he just made gestures or maybe had a pretend swing at him... bloody sooks......that's why I like him..he not your normal upper class POM..well he more like an Aussie...he swears he doesn't seem to care about who you are he will just tell you straight and if you piss him off he will tell you so and you never know he may just hit you..I just think there are to many nancy's around these days, because you swear at them or get upset with them they run to Mummy and complain or take their bat and ball and run and hide.... they are basicly all pussys or do gooders...for God sake bloody toughen up a bit...I hope they do get rid of him and then as Phil says he can go a commercial channel and carry on regardless..stiff upper lips and all of the gosh...Like May said..he's a knob but I like him...love it.. David
  19. Certainly looks the part Geoff from what I saw, I am sure you can't wait to fit the engine and turn the key..looking great.. David
  20. I just think the 3 of them just gel together if you take Clarkson off the show it would just be another car show..mostly boring..like the other Top Gear shows around the world.. David
  21. I love the pommy Top Gear especially when they do their overseas trips..they are so funny I split my side laughing...they won't get rid of Jeremy and the lads..they are to good...but I must say Jeremy does push it a bit sometimes.. David
  22. Hi Scott, In the latest March edition of Sport Pilot magazine in the Tech Talk section by Darren Barnfield there is a very good explanation of what a LSA is, it is worth the read.. David
  23. Yes I am with dazza..182 I think..looks great Scott.. David
  24. Well we may be doing humanitarian duties OK but how long do continue these duties..1 year..5 years at a cost to us of millions..as recent history proves with the Bali nine cases..Indonesia has a short memory when it comes to humanitarian duties.. they dismiss all of our efforts and contributions after the tsunami devastated their country, they are burning our flag and saying that they would love to go to war with us..your kidding me....they all seem to have very short memories. I think our bank account at present can not afford to continue to search for something that may be there or not just on the basis of mapping the ocean floor or keeping everyone happy that we are still looking...is Malaysia still here spending money..China still here..the US ? like I said when is enough enough of wasting our money and time just so we look good to the world...I think any fair minded person can say that we have done our fair share and given it a go.. David
  25. So let's see... if the plane did land on the water intact...that would dispel the theory of the captain committing suicide.. so what would be the next reason..to take some thing off the plane, how would it float long enough? was a ship parked at a pre determined place in the ocean to remove things from the plane, people/equipment....if that's right how do you control the passengers? were they knocked out before hand..so whoever this was, takes the gear off the plane and lets it sink silently into the ocean and the ship sails off...could be... could not be... as I said before...someone knows exactly what happened but we will never find out unless it is leaked by someone in the know...that's why I say to the Australian government to stop wasting our precious hard earned tax money on a ghost plane...put this money into something that will help us all...better health services...education... infrastructure etc etc.. David
