  1. It would look a lot tidier mounted below the panel instead of on top. Is the knob removable?
  2. Your front fork looks to have already been drilled lower but you will need to get rid of your towbar bolt. That done a Condor will fit with a standard rim.
  3. Thought they call it thinking with your little head!
  4. The is always more to life than Google ranking, but he pays the bills.
  5. I have a problem. The document seems to be incomplete at the end of page 7. It had been an interesting read up until then. Let me know when the final draft is released.
  6. One rivet can't move without all the rivets on that half moving so there would be movement for months or years before the heads come right off the rivets. The grey halo around the heads of the rivets would be the first sign.
  7. Maybe two or three of the rivets could be replaced with bolts for peace of mind.
  8. The Savannah I trained in had a little imperfection on the ball and used to stick, so Bill pulled it out and put a Winter one in it.
  9. Just one thing, Did your ball stick?
  10. They rebuilt a crash damaged set under warranty for a user on here too, that was a big factor in my decision to buy two sets. Too many companies don't think about that anymore.
  11. My shed supplier made an enquiry with my council at planning stage so I didn't draw attention to myself.
  12. In our council construct only occurs in a shed over 200 sq m.
  13. I think if you sat a motion sensitive hour meter on the unit it might shock you how many hours a day you actually listening to it. Don't forget to wear your ear plugs because the riveter isn't innocent either and it is a lot closer to your ears.
  14. Flaperons are a piece of cake, I once built twelve in eight days in times past. make sure the folds on the ribs are not bent past 90 degrees so the skins sit nicely.
  15. The manual says to put rivnuts where the trim pivot and motor are to allow for servicing the pivot and inspecting the motor.
  16. I have big clumsy fingers so I used 3mm rivnuts with pan head screws all around, 4mm pan screws are way over kill and look fairly ordinary. near the trailing edge I cut the mounting tab on the strip at an angle and drilled a 3/32" hole and put an A3 rivet in the last tab, there is no need to fix it right out the very edge. You will have all the same problems that you had with rivets bumping into each other.
  17. Because the tip is plastic much thicker than the 16 thou skin, if you mount something between the skin and the rib, it will need to be shaped or the plastic surface will finish up proud of the sheet. I just used the supplied strip and set it down from the surface to accommodate the depth of the plastic.
  18. I have an Ant's drifter CD that I will send her if she wants to do driftering, I never used it because the drifter I was planning to train in was 200 hours expired on the engine when time came to have it's inspection. Small oversight that.
  19. Don't get too excited about ICP getting the good side out, when you get to the other side wing skin for instance you will find that they have got it exactly wrong in a lot of cases, just as bent and folded parts will be right on one side and wrong on the other.
  20. The factory certainly don't. Many people homebuilding dress up the edges of the sheets to get a much better finish. Many of the lightening holes get buried in the structure so most wouldn't bother. Many of the frame parts can use a bit of a dress up to more evenly support the sheeting. In a full time six week build that I was involved in, there is still time for deburring, I have no idea how long a factory build actually takes, perhaps 4 - 5 weeks.
  21. Wildcat rubber grommet assortment maybe you didn't read the small print. "We're sorry, this item may be out of stock. Please call us on 09 272 9191 for an alternative item" You might have got the alternative material.
  22. So what is wrong with them? Are they not rubber or are they not Wildcat?
  23. Resister a Savannah. That is a fairly unusual request, you must expect delays!!
  24. I use the ones with the hex drive and quick change chuck. If you are doing grommets put a black permanent pen line around the step above the one you want to drill to so you don't get carried away.
  25. I was particularly fussy with the holes in the door frames, but treated all the lightening holes in the whole kit. Half the parts have the holes cut in but the other side is bent with the same punched holes pressed out, you will get a better finish if you take the time. If you don't there will be little shards poking out through the paint that will help corrosion to get going under your paint.
