  1. Do you have the modified axle with the steel bolt right trough? The head of the original bolt is drilled for safety wire maybe but it goes in the spare parts bag and the steel through bolt replaces it with the nyloc nuts.
  2. That is the plate in the centre at the top. From memory I needed to change the front rivet in the extruded angular on each side for a countersunk rivet so the head didn't hold the L brackets on the engine mount away from the angular, then everything lined up.
  3. the L brackets on the bottom have to go under the fuselage and the holes in the top have to line up with the holes in the pad on the cabin frame. I caused myself some grief by drilling through the cabin frame into the firewall instead of through the engine mount into the firewall but it worked out right in the end.
  4. Replacement. Put the others aside. Better than having to pull it all apart to swap then like I am about to do.
  5. My concern was really only it's similarity to MH370.
  6. Is it just my dyslexia or does HM380L give you some feeling of unease.
  7. Is it an English as second language problem? Both crews claim to have had clearance.
  8. Jetstar says their approved flight path was breached by AirAsia flight Good outcome to avoid another terrorist attack, as it no doubt would have been reported.
  9. There are enough Savannah's around that you can chose to move on if you find one owned by one of the other sort of blokes.
  10. Travis, click on the little envelope with the red 1 beside it in you left hand margin.
  11. No Cookies | Daily Telegraph Another three person ultralight incident, that will give the CEO something real to worry about.
  12. Just not sufficient power to pull over the power line. Power line 1, helicopter nil. Next contest.
  13. I have my Jaycar one in my hand, just note it has one 1A port and one 2.1A port but they are clearly marked.
  14. Looking at those rivnuts, they are not the counter sunk one like ICP supply, more like the ones that came in my kit with my pliers. They will hold the cover away from the wing skin so you will need to turn the edge of the cover down so it meets the wing skin, won't take much, just crease it.
  15. Then print it quarterly and the cost increase would be just $10 per year per subscriber and production and distribution cost should reduce to a quarter what it is at the moment. And the rest of us who don't subscribe still won't read it. Everyone should be happier then.
  16. Mark did you get a good look at the ADV Savannah wing on the one at Monto before the last one, I think it was when Tom put Pinkie on public display. I think there is also a CH701 with something similar that we bumped into at Inglewood.
  17. You need a good accountant 170 is only ten times 17!
  18. Get a new accountant, yours must be giving crook advise.
  19. That is the only possible advantage unless they are also cheaper for ICP to produce. They don't give a better finish if that is what they were trying for. They may look better in Europe where weight really matters and wing tips are one of the few parts that get painted. The original wing tips would be no fun at all to polish.
  20. No! Rivnut the other three sides with 3mm rivnuts and then even if you need to completely remove a tank at a later date you can just flex the cover skin away and tie it out of the way while you service the tanks and lines.
  21. Don't use rivnuts on the front edge of the tank cover that is riveted into the main wing spar with A5 rivets. If you drill them out to take rivnuts you will compromise the wing spar strength.
  22. The Rotax float problem has absolutely nothing to do with owner installation or owner maintenance. they simply supplied parts that were not fit for purpose, pure and simple.
  23. When Toyota became aware that the passenger airbag in our 2003 corolla was faulty they recalled it. Parts are yet to become available for them to repair it free for the third owner but that is what they plan to do.
